Why I Love Halo Infinite’s Rank System

Isn’t the Halo Infinite ranked system great?

I love how the metrics can be abused and discourage teamwork/objective play.

It’s super enjoyable and encouraging loosing days worth of progress due to loosing a single game or two…it really keeps my on the edge of my seat.

It doesn’t matter that it’s unbalanced and makes little to no logical sense. It’s totally bad -Yoink!- that we’re being ranked primarily on our kill count….ability to tactically move through a match and use team work is overrated after all.

Im surprised no one else feels the same way!

I’m at the point where I can either laugh about it or cry about it…and I’m all out of tears.

Last night I went 7-9 on oddball live fire, but I had 2:32 worth of ball carry time. My buddy had a 6.2KDA with no ball carry time.

I gained no rank for the win while my buddy was almost leveled an entire platinum rank. Such a joke…

Imo, objective score should make up a majority of how it calculates your rank gain. KDA should matter, but it should be equal to objective score, if not weighted lower entirely.

I only use ranked for challenges like back smacks and plasma rifle kills because that’s so helpful to my team.

Yea, but that would make too much sense if they based it off objectives and team work.

Ranked Halo is a team game, but it’s good that individuals kill count in the only metric used in conjunction with win/loose. This keeps the community toxic.

Basing rewards off kill count is the best way to insure players stay frustrated with the game. There’s no need to change it, or even for 343 to make comments about the subject.

People keep getting confused with the ranking system mannnn. That’s not how it works.
