Why I like Hologram

Why are so many players fooled by it? I put it in my arsenal last week because I was getting frustrated with my results. I am literally astonished at how well it works. It has a fast recharge time which is awesome as well. But for some reason, campers are so fooled by it that they come out of their hiding spot and attack it, giving me enough time to kill them.

Active camo sniping, the most god awful thing Halo has ever came up with? They fire the shot, you see them, and they can no longer have that hiding spot. It also confuses others when I’m in a gun fight for some reason.

Lastly, I feel accomplished that I can beat others using an AA looked upon as inferior. THere’s nothing better than to beat that low life scum using AC or seeing the guy jetpack to shoot your hologram…oops you exposed yourself.

I would’ve made posts like this back when my TrueSkill was low and didn’t realize what good players are capable of.

I only use Hologram. Love exposing camo campers.

Hologram seems to be the best non-movement AA for me.

My personal favorite, in case you didn’t know you can tbag those camo campers dead bodies if you aim at the head and unleash your hologram… .

It’s my main go-to AA as well. I use it with the Wetwork ability so that when I throw out my Holo, I follow quickly behind the enemy and kill em. I love suckering em in man, it’s beyond dopeness.

Holo is very efficient in this game. Experienced players won’t fall for it as much in the midst of combat. They will fall for it when it’s used as bait because their isn’t anyway to tell the difference until you shoot at it. If it’s used during combat make sure to step aside from it a little because bullets will go right through and hit you anyway.

Good players only fall for it because of the blip it causes on radar which is convincing. Even then sometimes it is discernible. Since you are so eager to talk down on players for falling for it I’ll let you in on a secret.

Using hologram requires no skill from you or any player so I don’t know why you feel so accomplished honestly. I used it sometimes also, but I’m not deluded into thinking that it makes me a great player just because I deployed it.

it tricks me because it shows up as a red blip on my radar and my reticule turns red when i aim at it.

seems pretty normal to me

hologram is the best aa there. on all my classes

I find it funny when a players you start to shoot at try and trick you by using the Hologram. I dont think iv seen anyone fall for that trick.

For me, it’s a panic reaction. I know the hologram won’t fool someone already shooting at me. It’s basically just reflex.

Oh ok. That makes sence.

The Hologram just goes in a straight line, real players rarely do that and a name doesn’t appear over it’s head. If you get fooled by it and die, you deserve it.

It actually IS useful now.

I think the reason it works so well is because most Halo Players are wired to shoot anything that moves.

I usually get fooled by it if the player is on a high ledge and its hologram falls down making me think it’s a real player…

Yeah I thought it was a noob AA at first, but I’ve seen some really pro strats with it, sending it into the lift first to trick people or make the sound, faking out snipers zoomed in, faking out camo players and faking boltshot players lol I think it has its own niche

I agree with the OP. I don’t even use Hologram and I think it’s a pretty cool/good ability.

Although it is pretty funny when you’re in a 1 on 1 duel, and someone unleashes a hologram… haha.
