Summary for those of us that are pressured for time. Angry player fresh from a few bad games of warzone is annoyed by the following: Stealing boss kills because it’s a cheap way to win, farming excluding the companies who mercy kill the core, losing legendary reqs or tanks and mantises, how in the -yoink- did you work out that marines have the magical ability to see me when I’m cloaked? -Yoink!- 343, you’ve seen enough people complain and give solutions for these things. Basic and easy solutions.
So, Warzone. The prized creation from 343 that they force on us… is annoying as hell to play. You give me less req points for arena which I wouldn’t mind so much if Warzone didn’t have so much wrong with it. Don’t get me wrong, I love Halo 5 and Warzone is fun when these issues don’t occur but these things ruin my mood every time they happen so here you go 343, take some notes.
Boss takedown steals. However you put it into words this strategy is just pathetic. In my last game of Warzone this happened twice. TWICE. I had Rok down to basically no health and on the last shot one member of the opposite team fired a single shot and got the kill. Me and my team had used ghosts, rockets and a laser but that one guy got the kill. This needs fixing because in the same match, guess which team killed Hestro? Guess how many shots they fired? I admire the precision this little -yoink- possesses and how he only needed one shot both times. I also hope he screws it up next time and gets T-bagged every time he dies. This just ruined the game because we were losing even with total control, which we lost when a few players quit. Now, how to fix it. I’m no games developer but I can think of so many ways that this can be fixed. Somebody on the forums said that the points should be divided up according to damage done by each team. I personally think that there should be a separate health bar for blue and red teams.
Farming. Okay, this one I can see why people would do it with the Achilles armour being the only armour earned in Halo 5 (I’m still really ticked off with 343 for making Helioskrill pack obtainable, not cool) but it comes at other players’ expense. Being trapped in the home base for ten to fifteen minutes is boring and humiliating. Thanks to all the companies who just go for a mercy kill and end it. This is a topic I’ve seen addressed many times and whilst I’ve only felt the pain a few times, it sucks. So why the hell is there no solution already? I say that there should be something like a req boost for every minute. Each minute, go up a level, get better guns and hopefully fend off enemies. This idea has it’s flaws though, so why not allow us to spawn outside of our base after a few minutes, maybe give us a chance?
Spawning a legendary req… Then dying after two seconds. The same goes for vehicles on the ground. Why am I spawning in a firefight where it is obvious I have a much higher chance of losing the req than using it? I got a nornfang and I thought I’d use it to get a few kills. Spawned in on the garage. A guy races in with a shotty and wipes me out. I know I need to get good but come on! I might like to actually use a req! Mantises and scorpions, why are they so underpowered? Scorpions are slow and have to be used at range because if you get close to what you’re firing at you’ll get a grenade in your tank. Same with the mantis. Take away boarding from the front on scorpions and boost the speed a little! With the mantis, no boarding! I never use the things because they just suck for keeping alive!
Little things. Why can marines see me if I’m using camo? How can they destroy my banshee so fast? It’s fine that they do that much damage on foot soldiers but on apex 7 there’s a huge chunk of the map I’m afraid of now because I can die so easily and there’s four of them targeting me. Why do banshees kill so quick when controlled by AI. It’s not that big an issue but it’s basically impossible to dodge their fire.
I love Halo 5 and I can honestly really enjoy warzone. These things have ruined that fun for me at times though and I know that I’m not alone.
