Let’s hope it happens my friend. Going a whole level without dying on legendary in Halo 2 would be a mighty feat indeed. In Halo 2 you get better music, better campaign, harder campaign, longer campaign, and if it’s a remake then they could put terminals into it as well. Even if they didn’t, the thought of a halo 2 anniversary makes me happier than getting a perfect game in reach.
I’m imagining the Supercarrier passing Installation 04’s wreckage with modern graphics, a remaster of H2 would be fantastic.
Im all for it as long as they do like they did with halo 1 anniversary, and integrate the MP into halo 4. We dont want a split player base. Look how many people play halo 3 vs reach. So trying to keep as many players on one game is generally better.

Play only one game at a time? That’s goofy, why would 343 want that?
We would simply buy both, there’s no such thing as ‘splitting the community’ unless they do unjustly to H2 what they did with CE. That split the community, there’s a lot of pissed off people for 2 reasons; 1, H2 is not online…2 CE MP was raped.
So, if 343 wants to ‘heal the community’, make the -Yoink!- anniversary and do it right. Don’t give us garbage.

Vista only has 100 players, and it’s poorly ported. Vista is crap, give us Halo 2.

Finding a game is impossible unless it’s staged. There can’t be more than 100 daily players.

Maybe in your area there’s around 100, but that doesn’t mean there’s around 100 in the whole world.

H2 xbox is not on Live and the PC experience is nowhere near H2’s original MP. Matchmaking

It would still split it, because while you own both, you cant play both at same time on same xbox. Look at how many people play halo 3 now… Once halo 4 is released, how many of Reach’s playlists will be combined and/or gotten rid of becasue of lack of population? Hell in reach now at 5am Eastern, match making starts slowing to a crawl in some playlists as is. How long will you sit to wait on a game to get enough people? By releasing another game during halo 4, the pop will jump. it happens in every game series, whether quake, battlefield, call of duty, or modern warfare, and Halo 3 MP proves that. People always jump for the newest, whether or not its any better. Then again, it has worked wonders for Activision with Call of duty, to release a simpler FPS game with very little change in gameplay every year. I guess how i see it is "depth and variety of game play and game types. " versus “expensive -Yoink- map pack, aka cod series.”

You just proved my point, Reach was lousy by itself so there’s no split, it’s a choice.
343 split the Halo population because they disrespected CE, now people are pissed because they screwed with the wrong game. Halo 4’s population will go down slightly if H2 is remade but nobody is going to jump (your word), they will simply play both games. If Halo 4 is good enough, it will stand alone by itself without anyone jumping.
Halo 2 will only be popular for several months and that’s it. They will only split the population if they screw with Halo 2. H2 was played hard for 4 years with a bunch of new games that came out but it didn’t matter. H2 was good enough on it’s own so new games coming out did not cause a mass migration away from it.
All 343 has to do is give us a game (H4) that is good enough and there will be no problem.

CEA should have been a main project, not treated like a side project. The graphics look great and there’s interesting stuff but that’s all overshadowed by the various grievances done to CE (and I’m not talking about using Reach’s mp).
I’d prefer they focus 100% on H4 than take some time off to make a H2 Anniversary that will only attract for 6-12 months. The CEA forum used to be so active in 2011. What happened? It’s just like the ODST, H3, H2, and CE forums… only worse since those games still had attention for a while.

I’m not drawn to Halo4, so they’re throwing money away. I’ll give them money for Halo2.
I certainly hope so! The idea of Halo 2’s environments and cutscenes with Halo 4’s graphics drives me crazy!
