why hate on farming?

Before I ask my question I do warzone assault a lot and little bit of normal warzone and yes I go solo.

Now, why do people hate farming so much? People make it sound like farming is the deadliest sin to commit.

Because it’s basically forcing twelve people to die for twenty minutes while the enemy team exploits the game’s systems to get a bunch of points by sitting in one spot and killing anything that moves.

It’s not fun.

I don’t give a damn what the reason is, be it Achilles or your precious RP points that I got months before you by playing normally, I’ll report anyone I catch farming for ruining the game for other people. It’s unsportsmanship behavior and nothing will change my opinion on that.

This man right here, I like you.

I don’t see anything wrong though forcing the enemy team into their base and not destroying the core. We do have a score limit of 1k. Kinda reminds me of demolition from the older cod days where you get a full party and just go kills and killstreaks and plant the bomb or let them plant the bomb in an order set so the game will last longer.

I do know how it feels of getting farmed by the enemy team and it sucks but they had the better players. I just don’t do something stupid that will give the farmers more kills. Back in halo reach when i was in a clan I used to do BTB a lot and when it was capture the flag we would normally score all points except for the last one needed to win and we would go for kills. Same with Grifball back then score all points but one and go for kills.

The only time I hate it is when majority of my team has quit out and it’s like 12 vs 5 or 6 and they still won’t blow up the core… that is some BS.

But they did nothing but play the game… It’s stupid how you guys never just leave the game :L

Have you not read the countless threads about it? It ruins the experience of others, makes them less likely to play again and therefore harms the population of the game, all because some people want to be selfish/greedy.

Um farming is unfair to the other team bud. How the -Yoink- do you think you would feel being on the receiving end of 3 tanks and a -Yoink- ton of over powered weapons wile you can’t do -Yoink-. Just think of that for a -Yoink- moment.

Players like you ruin the experience of others to such an extent that they stop playing the game.

I don’t mind losing if we simply get outplayed, I start searching for a new match.

But if I’m on the receiving end of tactics like yours I probably go and play something else.

Lol @ kids who report players for farming. The butthurt is strong in you.
I bet you report anyone who outplays you too.

Farming is not against the rules per say officially. Socially for the weak skinned sure but farming is just part of the game learn to accept it. If you don’t want to get farmed git gud it’s that simple. And the goal is to get 1000 points not core the enemy team. You can get 1000 points in multiple ways.

People cant leave because they will get banned from playing halo. So people getting farmed have 2 choices, leave and get banned from multiplayer, or stay and get shafted over and over and over. Games are supposed to be fun, and farming prevents everyone having a good time. The third option farmers and farmer sympathizers like to suggest is “capture a base back by going invisible”. This is stupid because the game shows you when a base is being captured so even if you manage to get past the 7 scorpions and snipers they will notice almost immediately and come and kill you. If the 4 OP marines dont kill you first of course, since they can still see you.

Get ready to be banned for promoting cheating and griefing when the mods wake up.

In games like Warzone it is a way to boost, and it’s against the terms of service we all agreed to when joining XBL.

That’s a stretch. Players like yourself have abused the report feature in XBL with the same stretch of logic. It wasn’t difficult to have my reports reset, and in one case a ban enforced on one of the reporters, when I made the same point you are responding too.

It’s not against the terms of service to play a game in an unsporting manner (not defending it though).

People are upset when they lose and even more upset when they lose badly. It’s the same reason 90% of threads exist on this site (nerf this, remove spart charge/sprint, don’t let fireteams play vs solos etc).

It’s basically a dumping field for salt. I’m quite certain most of the people complaining about farming aren’t actually being farmed (or even comprehend what it is), they just need something other than their own lack of skill to blame after a bad loss.

people dont even know the diffrence between losing and getting farmed…
look at my recent games, thats not farming, thats winning. we go for the core asap.

I report people for a) farming and b) team killing & maybe c) singing to me down the mic when the mute’s not working.

That is all.

I have a full time job, a wife and a son and up until very recently a lot of part-time studying to do.

So 20 minutes of being spawn camped is valuable leisure/relaxing time wasted for me. I still try complete the games though.

I get why people with more time can roll with the punches and not be as bothered by it but games are not just for the enjoyment of those people.

Careful with the accusations there my friend. I rarely file complaints, and I’m a very active Xbox Ambassador, I help way more gamers than I report. In the CoC not ToS, my mistake, it reads ( Don’t cheat or tamper, for example don’t , exploit game vulnerabilities or glitch ) boosting is exactly that, exploiting. Yes it’s loose, but Xbox Live offers us the option to report unsporting behaviour for a reason. I agree some will file false reports or inaccurate ones, they deserve the counter ban.
