Why Hasn't THIS Happened Yet?

1 - Take AAs out of Loadouts.

2 - Put native AAs onto maps.

3 - Add weapon variety to Loadouts.

because armour abilities where designed to be as loadouts.

Try to open your mind. The experience of AAs would be much more rewarding if your had to earn them by fighting. Plus, every beef about every AA would be alleviated because they wouldn’t be in your face all the time.

honestly no, i wouldn’t find picking up an armour ability on map rewarding and i prefer reach with armour abilites over little to no armour abilities.

armour lock and active camo should have stayed as pick up in the first place but the other armour abilities don’t really work as map pick up.

Earn them? You think that picking up an AA from the floor is ‘earning’ it? Its not exactly hard to do, is it?

I would rather the game have AA’s from the loadouts because atleast that way you won’t be screwed over by those that have one, when you have just spawned and don’t.

So basically you would find it fair and balanced if you’re shooting at someone, their nearly dead and then they just sprint away. But you can’t sprint after them because you didn’t ‘earn’ the AA by picking it up off the floor? You’re funny man.

-Drop Shied (IF it’s going to be added for Slayer)

I could support that. However, I might have thrown Evade in with the pick-ups.

How about take out AA’s in all games and earn your kills with your gun like the FPS that is is. Not super mario kart with stupid kiddy powers that you can use.

  1. Invasion, and a few select community game-types use load-outs as “class makers.” Otherwise, everyone spawns with the same weapon. This prevents “class making.”

  2. Putting AAs on the map is done by MLG because that’s how they like it. The general population hasn’t shown much interest in MLG game-play.

  3. Making load-outs weapon based turns them into “class makers.” If every load-out was no AA or just Sprint, but varied selection with the DMR, Shotgun, AR, Grenade Launcher and Sniper, all with Pistol backups, then we’d have 2 power-classes, 2 heavy-classes and 1 low-class. I can’t imagine many players not choosing the Shotgun or Sniper. Sure they could have the DMR, but why when there’s a Sniper with a Pistol. Heck, even if the Sniper didn’t have the Pistol, I know what I’d choose every time.

I think 343 could squeeze a little more ‘game’ into AAs by making them something to go and find, like a rocket launcher. Some AAs are more enviable than others, so maybe Sprints and Evades are the most common and you’d only see the Jetpack at the highest points of the map. Bungie made it so easy to have variety in Halo, and yet…

What makes AAs annoying to some people is that everyone has them all the time. They would be much more fun if you had to fight for them. It’s not like everyone already spawns with the best weapon in the game… Oh, wait.

No few seem to see how broken evade it is up there with jetpack/armour lock. All three need to be pickups.

1) AR + DMR

2) AR + Grenade Launcher

3) Shotgun + Magnum

4) Sniper + nothing

5) Rockets + nothing

Part 2 - Decrease vehicle spawn timers by half.
