why hasnt the colossous got a buff yet!?

It’s next to useless I can’t understand why CA hasn’t buffed it to make it viable can you just buff the range for the rail canon and make them a tad bit faster please!? They gave it a Nerf which make me scratch my head till I bleed.

If Johnson had Accelerated Assembly I’d be a lot happier.

Maybe but the range still needs to increase for the rail gun

dident they just get a 30% range increase, they’re pretty much mech snipers

What about using them as mobile artillery? Keeping them in the back sniping units, with mantises in the front providing vision. Johnson’s structures also have extra vision so perhaps dropping a garrison just for vision could help.

Neither do I lol. But I’ve seen people just go mass colossi with terrible results. Mantises are fairly capable so a mix should do pretty well I think.

Ii think it should have field of vision as big as the range

they are fine the way they are. you can destroy bases from cliffs and from a distance. When attacking another army they stay in the back and kill units long distance. i love them

The thing that I find funny is in spite of the outcry for a buff and how downright bad they are, they actually took several nerfs last patch. :joy:

It’s to compensate for the cloaking generator the bunker has.

They’re terrible.
They don’t do enough damage, die quickly, and cost a fortune. Their stomp is super strong. But that involves getting your expensive glass cannon really close to the enemy.

I tried keeping a few behind my main army. Some wouldn’t shoot for whatever reason, and the ones that were shooting weren’t making too big a difference.

I think you’re better to go mass Mantis with Cyclops. Cyclops can benefit from his Mech Overdrive (or whatever it’s called) power.

As a Johnson/Colony main. Everything you just said is completely false, they have very long range now a lot of health, while their stomp is pretty bad atm they’re still good to me.

The Colossus honestly isn’t that bad of a unit. I prefer it over Scorpions (apart from Izzy’s) or Wraiths. Though, they could be better. They would really benefit from a cost decrease or some SMALL buffs.

As an aside, Johnson deserves ACC. Assembly… with being a vehicle hero and all. Replacing his recon perk (can’t recall the name) would be my approach.

Fun Fact: Colossus can beat Izzy Tanks.

Colossus are pretty strong in mass, Johnson just never gets there.

If it’s just Scorpions VS Colossus, yeah, sure. Colossus may win that, but I wouldn’t ever just spam a single type of unit.

I find Izzy tanks much more useful than Colossus, regardless of what kills the other more effectively. Additionally, Izzy has ACC. Assembly, Ghost on the Machine, and Combat Salvage. And her Scorpions are far cheaper than the Colossus.

I know I’m kinda getting off track here, but these are all factors that lead to me reaching that conclusion.

They nerfed their stomp, didn’t they? Apparently for being too effective alongside Mech Overcharge, and Emp Mac Blast Overcharge?
That didn’t hurt them too badly did it?

I’d like to see how it was OP in the first place for it to warrant a nerf.
