Why hasn’t HCE pistol changed to a loadout Req.
Why?
Because the Halo 2 Battle Rifle is a loadout Req. And at Req level 4 the H2BR isn’t unbalanced or over powered.
So Why can’t the HCE be switched to something like a level 5 or 6 loadout Req?
Please show some love for the HCE pistol 343I.

its still going to be op with the 3 shot kill. h2br works because its a 4 shot kill like the disgusting br we have ingame. it functions like a power weapon, and frankly should stay as one. its the same reason why the h2 beam rifle or spnkr isn’t a loadout despite being “remakes”

Well at Req level 5/6 DMRs have range on it and SMGs would have a advantage in CQC.
Also majority of people are using power weapons and vehicles at that point too.

smgs also have an advantage on snipers in CQC. dmrs have advantages on energy swords and shottys at long range. you think they should be loadouts too?

Why does everyone think shots to kill is the be-all and end-all when it comes to balance? It wasn’t OP in CE. That was because in CE, the game didn’t aim for you. Zero bullet magnetism, low aim-assist, no hitscan.
The CE Magnum in Halo 5 has been what I like to call, “343ified.”

It’s just that the HCE pistol doesn’t stand out like other power weapons do with in the Warzone armory, It’s going to fade into the background.
I’d still want it as a loadout even if they make it a Level 7 Req.

It was OP in CE…that was the point.
Also the issue is I’ve only got 1 HCE pistol so I’ll never get it back once I’ve spent it thanks to the tons of stuff littering up the Req system.

i think he’s trying to say that the gun wasn’t OP in CE and the only reason it would be OP in 5 is because of the things he listed.

Why does everyone hate the current br?
I’ve yet to see someone provide an adequate argument about how the Ce Magnum was overpowered. Study this chart, consider the roles and effectiveness of the weapons in Ce relative to future games, then re-examine your arguments.
It would be like saying the current Magnum is overpowered because it can actually compete with the Light Rifle, which is essentially the role the Sniper filled in Ce. Oh, right, unfortunately there are casuals who believe that to be the case as well. “Fast weapons are overpowered, unless it’s my Assault Rifle in Halo, or the M16 in a game like CoD, in which case it’s totally fine. Nevermind how the weapon performs relative to other weapons, killtimes relative to Halo 2 are all that matter.” Ugh.
But that was then. This is Halo 5, where weapons kill way slower relative to the Ce Magnum while the Ce Mag has more aim assist. I’m made to question the validity of making it a spawn weapon in this specific game.
Three shot kill with pistol. This isnt even a dispute. You will never see it as a loadout. Thank god.

Yea but the magnum was OP in CE. You could beat snipers at range with the dam thing.
