I start nearly every day off by searching for Forge info. I’m sure we’ve all seen some bits and pieces of it by now. It has looked amazing even around launch. We all know we’re getting forge beta sooner than later. I’m just confused as to why 343 hasn’t officially shown even a single piece of forge? 343 could really get the community juiced with a forge vidoc similar to the one Bungie did for forge world.

I truly wonder the same thing. Hopefully sooner rather than later we get to see or learning more about what exactly Halo I finite Forge will look like.

I’m very disappointed we haven’t seen anything yet.
The “beta” is supposed to drop in September. Less than 3 months to go and we’ve seen nothing official.
Zilch.
What better way to generate some good will with the community than to show off a little?

343i copied Fortnite’s marketing system so far, therefore it only makes sense that BR Mode should come out first before Creative mode can be a thing

Because they’re probably still trying to make it work properly, or at least good enough to call it a “beta” and then release it to us.

Your post may be satire but I believe the idea was for forge to drop ALONG SIDE the BR mode.
I think for a few reason.

the map. I believe the br map could be our next forge world.

With the knowledge that they’re relying on players again to provide maps and modes, it wouldn’t surprise me they want to drop the BR mode along side it so players can start developing large scale mp modes for game like infection and griffball
Btw… side note can you imagine the sheer mayhem of a 50+ (god 100player!?) Grifball match?it’d be literal rugby at that point.
Infection would literally make you screech like a girl being the LSS against 49+ Spartans.
3…it would look like a massive content drop which would garnish favor on the easier to please side of the community. And I must agree, it would breathe a lot more life into the game and show everyone they’re actively forging (haha) ahead and breaking walls day by day
I wouldn’t be surprised however, if the reason were getting a “Beta” forge is so they can say “based on feedback forge isn’t ready and is being pushed back till a later time. We will continue to update forge with patches and content but until the foreseeable future, forge will be completed at a later date.”

they releasing a forge beta for an Infinite beta lol, hopefully see at least something of it end of this month or next, it would help rather than the occasional leak videos.
It would help the community to see more, even if it’s still being worked on, even a video on map making for example

The thing is also, the foundation of this game is severely cracked, exactly how does more content get added into a system that is as unstable as Halo Infinite? Using my crystal ball, I see a fair amount of disappointment in people’s expectations.

But the fact remains that they are dividing resources and focusing on two things, one of which the fanbase is demanding and the other of which barely anyone has been asking for.
There are dozens of forum threads that are focused on Halo Infinite Forge.
I have only seen like four posts asking for a Battle Royale.
If they had all the Battle Royale manpower working on Forge, we would probably have it by now.

Let’s be honest, 343i do not know what they are doing. This game was delayed a year, but still looks like it needed well over another year of development. I don’t expect any major updates any time soon, otherwise it would have been shown at the XBox press conference over a week ago. (I am starting to get the impression Microsoft is embarrassed by 343 Industries.)

I think Forge is likely in a more complete state then most of us realize- the youtube leaks have shown off quite a bit of its object menu and capabilities. However, there may be a problem with integrating it into the current build of the game. After all, it took 343 six months just to add their version of KotH and they’re probably struggling with the working the bugs out of custom games. They still have a fair amount of technical debt to pay off.

I think it’s complete, they just can’t figure out how to work it into the engine and UI without totally borking the other aspects of the game.
Battle Royals has to be coming!
I don’t deny that it is inevitable.
But it should be delayed in favor of improving the servers and providing Halo’s default content modes.

Unless they monetize Forge in some sort of way, 343 aint about to make a single guaranteed penny off of Forge’s release. Sure, it’ll give players more to do after a month or so when it releases (not the BETA Forge, the real Forge) but ultimately there is no guaranteed money in releasing Forge first.
The Battle Royale however is going to heavily tie in with the store and other cosmetics that will probably be only available in the BR mode. I can see them adding a bunch of irrelevant cosmetics to try and sell to the player just so they can customize their specific Battle Royale Armor Core or some BS. Obviously an Event will come too and will try to push stores sales.
At this point, shoot me…… I don’t need another br. Cod did it, fortnite, apex, pubg , totally accurate battle grounds…… and sooooooo much more……… wait till the br fad crashes and people don’t know what to do with themselves.
The reason 343i hasn’t shown anything is because they don’t care, it’s not what they’re worried about, look at their track record since launch, they have been quiet about everything until it’s last second to release, they do it so they won’t get backlash while whatever they’re doing is in development, they want it in game first before people respond so that way they don’t have to touch it with a 10ft pole ever again. Fact I bet you they’re gonna put forge behind a $50 paywall.
