I’m not even enjoying the campaign on Normal. Why would I want to play it on Heroic or Legendary?
I might enjoy Co-Op on a high difficulty, but I can’t even play Co-Op yet and none of my friends play Halo anymore.

I tend to do my first playthrough on Heroic.
I then do Legendary piecemeal. A level here and there - and definitely not in order. No rush. Don’t like to burnout. Could take me months to finish it.
At the moment I don’t think there is as level selection.
So I’ll need to wait for that.
I completely failed to enjoy this campaign whatsoever, regardless of the difficulty. I’m not torturing myself to play this on Legendary, no no no. I’d rather do Metropolis on Serious Sam TFE on Serious with 400% extra enemy health, no armor and health items, and no power-ups instead!
As for co-op, I am NOT touching Halo (In)finite whatsoever. I don’t think the co-op experience on it will be that great anyway. I want to play co-op on Halo yet almost none of my friends even play Halo anymore. ![]()
just going off your title, I’ll say, I gave up on legendary/heroic at bassus
I’ve already beaten the game on Legendary as I have with all the games prior. I’m kinda openning up to the idea of doing LASO at some point, but I’d have to be highly motivated to bring myself to complete that challenge, even if its supposedly easier than prior titles
Went through on normal haven’t decided if a higher difficulty is worth a run honestly. The campaign is ok but pretty repetitive, as most open world games are anyways.
I beat it on Heroic, then Easy and then Legendary. Did the Easy run to collect all the Skulls for my Legendary run, because by the time I found out where some fo the skulls were, I was already past that mission. I though it was odd that you can’t replay specific missions after you beat them, unlike any other Halo game I’ve played.
I got the Campaign with Game Pass on Xbox, so I was happy. I was hoping that Co-Op was out soon, so I could talk a friend into doing a LASO run, but I may wind up doing that myself.
Legendary difficulty always requires some sort of cheese tactics to win and I don’t prefer playing games like that. Heroic is what I usually beat Halo games on. Even with Heroic in Infinite, the grapple had to be used repeatedly to beat some of the bosses, which was really uncreative and bland.
I usually go through the campaigns on co-op with some friends, but I won’t be doing that with Infinite. First off, co-op is nonexistent right now. Second, even when co-op finally releases, I don’t think I can bare going through that crap again.
Also who knows how long before we see anything for campaign so may as well save higher difficulty runs for later. We can’t even repeat missions in the campaign without having to start an entire new game. The lack of simple features is pretty mind boggling.
Been playing Halo since 2002, and I haven’t finished H5 or Infinite’s campaign. However, I’ll replay Halo CE annually with a buddy of mine and have beaten that game countless times on every difficultly. I’ve played through Halo 2 and 3 on every difficulty, as well as ODST. I played through Reach’s campaign once, and Halo 4’s campaign once.
Like Halo 5, Infinite’s campaign just didn’t pull me in for a variety of reasons, and so I haven’t finished it. Perhaps once they start releasing additional story content for the game, or incentivise unlockables for 100% completion, LASO, legendary etc I’ll get back into it.
Can’t imagine wasting 60 for a short campaign stand alone. Also those of us with gamepass - they have said exclusives will never leave - meaning I can put it on the back burner and play things that are leaving or may leave soon in theory. Add in no coop campaign, I have little reason to play through it. Only time I usually play halo campaign solo is my laso run. Everything else is with friends - or I’m just going to play a different game - too many great games to ignore.
I beat it on Legendary on my first run. It was ca-ray-zee!!!
Guess im super crazy for completing LASO…
Only Halo I’ve done LASO on but i am all about those achievements… really wasn’t hard though…
I always do a Lone wolf run, usually it had a lone wolf acheivment.
But already beat it on Legendary, guess I’m part of that small percentage.
I got stuck on the arena in the second to last mission, kinda gave up on the story after that, 2 red hunters and suicide grunts was just annoying, then multiplayer got my focus before it started going down hill, then my focus went off the game
I’m an og ce player but infinite is lacking, they made parts hard just to be hard which i get, plus one achievement that should of popped never popped so, plus i don’t feel like playing another time for 100% completion over again
Everything we play is not canon :c
The clips that those crazy youtubers do with a Warthog doing flips across the entire map and sniping 4 enemies before splattering a grunt are the true canon.
The “Vets” as you put it OP, are most likely back on MCC, a well put together game.
i play always on normal first to see how the campaign is doing and what for parts in some missions become a big problem later when i go for legendary after i compleet it on normal and have all the skulls collect.
like what for weapon i not most use at all before i reach that place since its going to become some trouble with it later.
or where are the good spots to hide and clear the room save.
first i study more the place’s on normal good and mark my problems for my legendary run.
I haven’t even finished it on easy yet . . . Open world games are often very bad at holding my attention. I only seem to get around to playing the campaign like once every other week, for about an hour.
Why would anyone play on Normal or Easy is what I want to know? Last time I played on Normal was in 2001 cause I didn’t know better.
