Why has only about 5% of players beat the story on Heroic or higher? Where are the Vets

Halo 4 was long an so was H2 an HW2 yet look at these low numbers for completion. Heroic is still considered the Cannon difficulty correct !?. I agree it’s important to have an easy difficulty for accessibility. Players like to challenge themselves in PvP but not as much in the Halo story. It appears the difficulty of Halo Infinite is on par with Halo Wars 2. I say that because about 1% of players have beaten Halo wars 2 on Heroic an 1% have beaten Halo Infinite on Legendary. Maybe the lack of coop is the main factor. Actually I went an checked out MCC an about about 3% beat Halo CE on Heroic an about 3% beat Halo 3 on Heroic an less then 1% even beat H4 episode 4 Spartan Ops. H5 total story mode completion is over 20%. An as of now I realize I should have said 3 or 4% instead of 5%. Maybe it will go up some with time… But thanks I see some people aren’t interested. At this point 10% of players have finished the main campaign of Halo Infinite.

Or because many people don’t play Halo Infinite’s campaign. Most of the ‘playerbase’ (total players, not the regulars) are F2P and non game-pass. The larger overall player count skews that number a good bit, I’d imagine. Especially because if the circumstance of being able to straight download the multiplayer separate from the campaign.
I don’t have gamepass and would’ve purchases the campaign full price to play it if it were an actual good deal value wise. But they charged $60 for less than a standard Halo experience, so I didn’t. Only Halo game that I haven’t put money into.

Heroic difficulty being the canon one was always kind of silly.

Personally though i usually just play the campaign on normal the first time to enjoy the story. Halo infinite campaign however was not enjoyable and i dont really havr a desire to play it again on any difficulty.

5% of everyone that has installed HI, not just those that purchased the campaign.

I would play but I waiting on co op, I guess because they don’t have it is main reason.

Normally I would play both one by my self and do co op missions. But since I have wait for co op I guess I’ll wait

I’d suggest it’s likely to do with the fact that an open world Halo game doesn’t appeal to the majority of the player base hence why it’s low.

Waiting for co op to be released to play with friends

I suspect it’s a combination of factors.

  1. Not everyone playing Halo Infinite is interested in the campaign, some will be multiplayer only and since the multiplayer is F2P that’s probably a considerable chunk of the playerbase.

  2. Some players waiting for co-op so they can play the campaign with others.

  3. Some players that played on a lower difficulty but have, so far, not been interested in re-playing the campaign.

  4. Some players that started the campaign and for whatever reason, lack of time or enjoyment, never finished it.

I still haven’t played campaign at all. I refuse to support it where the cost is $60 for a length comparable to previous titles and it is missing co-op. I’ll buy it when the price reduces to $30-$40 or co-op is added.

I just wanted to enjoy the story and kinda breeze through it, so I played on normal.

Saving Legendary for whenever co op drops.

Some people don’t care as much about the campaign. I’ve always bought halo for the multiplayer and sometimes would play the campaign for rewards or because I was really bored.

Well I tried to play the Campaign, then this really cool thing happened where it soft-locked on me, then 343 decided to ignore any and all of my attempts and other people’s attempts to bring it to their attention, even including submitting tickets.

My Game Pass has now ended, so I guess I’m just never going to play Infinite’s Campaign. Maybe I’ll try to tackle it again if Game Pass ever does another $1 deal or if the DLC on Steam drops to $10.

It’s too hard, that’s why.

20,000,000 players that were all f2p. You (like myself) had to pay $59.99 for JUST campaign. What I actually paid for I haven’t even completed. I honestly didn’t and still don’t enjoy the open style of traveling through the area going on smaller mini missions and objectives. I really enjoyed all previous Halo campaigns until this one. Maybe I need to give it another chance.

Some people are just casual players; I personally only play on legendary unless it’s the MCC and I’m trying to rush through challenges.

As a vet of Halo I have always beat previous games on heroic or higher with friends. Having no co-op is why I haven’t beat it again on higher difficulty. For me it’s about tradition.

I beat it on Heroic like I always have done first. However my Game pass ran out and I never renewed it. I will go back and do it on Legendary one day. But that Grapple Hook just ruined my whole experience.

Me too.

Managed to get one play through on Heroic.

Started Legendary play through, taking my time to unlock everything and enjoy the experience, although could do without all this upgrading stuff. (prefer previous titles formula). Now can’t continue my save. No fix for it. BIG WASTE OF TIME!!
