Before you read this, yes it is a farming thread. But this thread provides a very easy solution to a problem that shouldn’t exist weather it’s happening in 5% of all games or not. It’s a solution that nobody has thought of yet and I’m here to share it today.
Hello my follow waypointers, some of you know me some of you do not. But knowing me is not the topic of this thread. The topic of this thread is to discuss a new way to counter farming that won’t require anything crazy such as a set time to destroy the core, or a surrender option so you cannot be farmed. I will even be posting a video about this later on my YouTube channel: However I will not post it here because while editing it I realized I accidentally showed names, I would not like to be banned so if you would rather watch my video than read these walls of texts feel free to hunt it down.
So on with my solution. As we all know being farmed sucks, and there really isnt a counter to it other than hide in the back of your base at the pelican landing pads. Or quit the match. Well here is my solution to put a stop to it once and for all.
We all know about the shields covering our bases, the shields that will be taken down if the bases are triple capped. Why not put these shields at the back of the base blocking off the landing pads, only they will never go down no matter what. If you are being farmed simply hide in the back like you do now, only with this you will never get killed.
If the farmers can’t reach you they can’t farm you, if they can’t farm you it forces them to destroy the core.
It’s a simple solution to a problem that should have never existed.

I like this idea. Yes there is a slight downside to it but it’s worth the frustration of been farmed not happening again. Since Halo 5 I’ve wanted to play the game less and less, and it has noting to do with 343. The community has ruined this game.
But this idea is magic and I love it. It’s a genuinely good idea to stop the people who ruin people’s good time.

Then clans will finally have to actually work to get that stupid armor.
I don’t really see a bad side. Neither side can shoot through it, and the only time people would stay in is if they were hiding form farmers or being afk.

Exactly this way instead of clans spawn killing people they’re forced to obey Palmer’s orders and destroy the core.

Best counter I’ve heard to stop farming. Hopefully this gets to be in the game.
first off, I dont know what the farming is, or this armor that everyone goes on about but I was in a match the other day with another guy with a mic ( I know right! so rare ) and he just wanted to sit in the base as they were camping the doors. I took a ghost and blew past the people to the far base and solo capped it and had my team spawn there… sometimes all you need to do is get a good flank to break up the attackers. Down side is…you really need your team to be on board.

Here let me inform you. the armor is Achilles the only way to get it is to be in a clan, one requirement to get the armor is to kill over a million people. So what clans have been doing is triple capping the Warzone bases and instead of destroying he core they spawn camp until the 20 minute match is over.
Best solution I’ve seen. Only problem I can sort of see is they might start just farming the marines for the other commendation why your team stays in the safe zone however I think that’s very unlikely.

Not every game you can do that. The shields is just a fall back in case you can’t break the farmers. Not everyone can be a Harriet Tubman an lead ppl to freedom from the farmers

Says the guy with the farmer hat. Listen to this guy, I’m sure this is exactly what he doesn’t want you to do.
I dislike the idea as it promotes players to 1. Hide when they lose 2. Not everyone can tell the difference between farming and just flat out getting their -Yoinks!- kicked 3. Go AFK with no way to die 4. It’d remote peole to go hide when the enemy shows up to their core as they just don’t want to die knowing they’re about to lose. I see more negatives than positives with the idea so I can’t support it. Fact is farming in games has always been in video games, it’s been in halo as well with CTF games where a team that’s up 2-0 holds onto the last flag rather than capping to get more kills. Farming will never be stopped in multiplayer games. yea it sucks, I won’t disagree but just don’t see it as a big issue, especially when once again, most can’t tell the difference between farming and just getting dominated.
