I have tried everything and other games work fine online. Xboxlive said that I should post here. For some reason I haven’t been able to connect to Halo: Reach to play any matchmaking games for two weeks now my NAT type is open. upnp is enabled and a DMZ has been set up for my xbox’s static ip. But still no Halo: Reach can still see my friends playing and play custom games with friends online but no matchmaking. What is going on? It’s really getting on my nerves now because the idiots I’m paying for the service expect me to do all the problem solving. Don’t reply saying that I need to change settings in my router because I’ve already done all that. In the network menu in Halo: Reach it says my NAT type is open, and all tests on my connection have been ok.
Call your internet service provider, some data appears to be getting clogged up between you and the Reach matchmaking servers.
edit: Oh, also telling them the location of the Reach servers might help, but I don’t know where they’re located (343 HQ?), sorry!
how do you know some data is being ‘clogged’? i have phoned my isp and they said there is nothing wrong with my connection. and why is it just halo: reach?
waypoint still works fine and streams hd video no problem
