So, I had heard that Doubles was being replaced with HCS Doubles (fine by me!), I actually prefer HCS gameplay in ranked. Just wondering if there is a reason behind it not keeping our same rank from Doubles? Like they’ve done HCS FFA in the past, but it didn’t start over our rank. I guess I’m just a little frustrated because me and my brother had just finished grinding all the way up do Diamond 6 and were like a win away from Onyx.
Totally get it, I was an oynx myself- I think that the playlist plays out so differently than the core doubles mode they felt they needed to start over being it’s a brand new playlist to H5. In my case it doesn’t bother me ranking up again, I enjoy this playlist more so than the core doubles mode.
Yeah, I definitely prefer this version. I’m hoping they keep this one and do away with ranked doubles.

From what I’ve heard, the plan is to rotate the two in and out. They didn’t run both at the same time because the population doesn’t warrant it.
Not sure why they changed it, maybe just promoting change this year
