It’s bad for business. Xbox sells would decrease if Halo sold its primary games on PC. Plus, the core fan base has gotten used to controllers and as a PC gamer, I can tell you controllers do not work well for PC gaming. For FPS games, mouse and keyboard aren’t exactly all fine and dandy, either.
The controller, no matter the sensitivity, is always either too fast or too slow. Halo, Battlefield, and Warframe are the only three games I play on Xbox.
Aside from controllers and Xbox sales, we have one third reason- PC gamers are typically total -Yoinks!-. Halo is a social game, having legions of -Yoink!- holes would ruin that. Sure, we have -Yoink!- holes now, but they tend to be few and far between.
Adding Halo would also give them a reason to keep screaming “PC Master Race”. I can assure you, PC is not the “master race”, unless you have $1000 to throw away for upgrades every year to keep your PC top of the line (and therefore able to play competitively).
Sincerely yours, a PC gamer.
