I’m glad you like the game and I agree that it has the potential to be one of the best, but it simply won’t be. There are too many things wrong with the game that it won’t even matter by the time they fix it. Most of the people currently playing will have left because they spent their entire time fixing sh*t that should have been fixed from the jump
Ofc. I love halo. I hate the way they made the matchmaking and everything. The gameplay itself is also very fun. There are some fun abilities and weapons in the game. The foundation of the game is great. I will always say that. I also never said that I hate the game. I did say it’s hard to enjoy it. I can also enjoy it but still think it’s one of the worst halos out there. I can still have some moment’s that I enjoy and still think what I think. The moments are enough to keep me coming back because it shows the potential the game has and sometimes, we do indeed get balanced and fair matches. Other times, we get unfair matches where my team gets blown out of the water. Then, we have a rare few times where we get matches that are above their skill level and below mine. That’s where my YouTube clips come in. You don’t know how many hours of footage I have to delete just because of the game being just dog sh*t when it comes to the matchmaking. Hundreds of hours a month just go down the drain because the clips aren’t useable for my YouTube channel.
Mmmm my list would be a little different based off of the data for sure.
-
Halo Reach (Yes the story was fantastic and one of the best stories ever made in halo franchise, but that’s all. The multiplayer wasn’t the best and the dip in players from back then really shows it.)
-
Infinite (The numbers speak for themselves. Losing 9x the player base hasn’t been seen since halo reach. That’s how bad this is.)
-
Halo 4 (Halo 4 had a great story that followed up from Halo Reach. However, the matchmaking was bland and after a year and a half of the game being released, the game went from 400,000 players to just 40,000 players. Ofc, it wasn’t as fast as Halo Reach or Infinite but still. No other halo has really done that. Hell even after a year of launch, halo 5 still had halo 3 numbers.)
There was a few downsides to halo 5 though. Like for instances, the op pistol, the ground pound, and the spartan charge to start.
They need to fire that team. The halo 5 forge was just dog water
Agreed. All of the fps shooters, just want money. Hell at this point, splitgate feels more like halo than halo does
Halo 5 never had Halo 3 numbers
If there ever was a worst Halo game it would be Halo 5. Lackluster story, and the worst multiplayer in the series.
That’s where you are completely wrong
Feel free to disagree, but I will never recognize it’s subpar multiplayer as even half decent.
What are you talking about?
It was the most intuitive tool yet !
It led to amazing custom-game maps and was the closest thing Halo fans got to being able to use actual dev tools since Halo 2 Vista and Halo Custom Edition.
BTW, that team is the same one working on Halo Infinite Forge so… I suggest you learn the value of patience so you can focus on map making.
I’ve found ground pound is great for parkour tricks, but yeah I do customs and firefight only, in customs I always disable spartan charge. As for the OP pistol I don’t see that as an issue considering Halo CE’s pistol is insanely OP.
Personally while I agree H5 Forge is great for advanced Forgers, it’s Hellish for Casual Forgers.
True that.
They need to have a casual Forge mode as well as the advanced settings; allowing all players to really enjoy it.
Halo 5 forge is easy. Idk what made it complicated for players.
It deviated from classic forge controls and added dozens of more aspects that threw people off.
It also required more patience to make maps.
HCS settings from Halo 5 with the removed ground pound and spartan charge is what I defend.
The spratan charge and ground pound was also good for parkour tricks like the other guy said. This should’ve been what those moves were for. Only movement. Not melees.
Na the Halo 5 Magnum is goat and it should be the starting weapon across the board
Gameplay is literally the best out of all so none of those opinions matter.
All of this could be fixed with changing your controls on your controller. On top of that the changes were nesscary because of the new options. In fact the way it was designed is genius. It’s extremely simple once you learn it. I could leave Halo 5 forge for months and come back and it’s like I never left.
I don’t think there is ever going to be a simpler forge because new options require new controls. What your basically asking for is more submenus. Or restricting options. There shouldn’t be big, small, medium wall. It should be what the size is. Idk. I’m just not a fan of dumbing down something because it’s to hard for players. I mean look at the grenade pads In multiplayer. Do we really need that? No. There is too much hand holding in this game and I think Halo 5s forge was easy enough once you learned it.
Yes it was simple once you learned it… but the casual gamer wants the old system that let them make some cool stuff on the fly.
I didn’t mind it. But I can understand that instead of being given pre-set buildings you had to BUILD each building piece by piece, it can be a turn-off to some.
