In Gameplay, the Magnum is the Secondary Weapon and is a precision weapon, but the assault rifle is the MAIN halo weapon as it’s the Primary Weapon of any halo game. The Magnum’s fire rate is Halo 5 is so fast shooting, only 5 Shots or 4 Shots can kill you, this struggles me in Slayer as I Smart-Link with my Assault Rifle, Someone just came out of no where and then he just kills me. Your probably thinking, Am I bad at Halo? No, I used to be good until Halo 5 came out, it was the magnum that I wasn’t good at. Even EVEN If I keep practicing, I would not make the headshot. If you’re not getting kills with the magnum, try changing up your sensitivity in the game settings.

If you made the magnum lower damage and 8 round mags, wouldn’t it just become useless again? I like the fact that it is a viable weapon in some situations

If they nerf the magnum then it would be completely useless. If it gets nerfed that bad then I may as well rather use a plasma pistol or Boltshot.

The entire sandbox revolves around the Magnum. It’s the utility weapon of the game.
The problem with the gun is that you’re missing and your opponent isn’t. Don’t nerf the gun to oblivion just so you can finally win with the AR.
All I have to do is switch the order of the guns you start with and your entire argument falls apart.
Every magnum since Halo 3 (except ODST) takes 5 headshots to kill, so it was never a 8 shot magnum.
So because you suck with the magnum (the gun the entire sandbox is balanced around) they should just nerf it into oblivion? All so you can only use the assault rifle (which is more useful in this game than most halos)

I think all come to practice. You say you can’t get used to the Magnum, but in my opinion it is the first weapon you need to learn to use. The magnum is the most versatile weapon in Halo 5.

The Halo 4 magnum is a 6-shot kill if i am not terribly mistaken, so we sure don’t need to go back to a bad magnum!
OT: Op, the Halo 5 magnum isn’t rocket sciene, i sure felt it was hard to get used to but eventually i locked down my own strategy and messed around with the sensivity. Work on it and you’ll get better mate!
Personally I’d buff the magnum to a 4sk. This would improve its usefulness as a utility weapon by allowing it to better contest autos in CQC. It would also make the game play faster and prevent a lot of escapes that happen now. The DMR and BR could still stay in the game as easier to use weapons with more range that could be used effectively in a support role while the magnum remained the go to choice for 1v1 engagements.
You say Forge isn’t the best gamemode we’re gonna have some issues.
I’m average with the Mag but downright ugly with autos. Mainly since I windmill with autos despite countless controller setting tweaks. Can’t have it all I guess.
I suck with the sniper but I’m not gonna complain and tell 343 to nerf it lol. The magnum is just like the gnasher in gow, the hole game is build around it. So no, I don’t agree by any means with you. Good night tho.
