Why Halo 5 looks worst than Halo 4?

I was playing Halo 4 in MCC then I started playing Halo 5, and it looks a lot worse. The final release will look a lot better?

I think it is scaled down for the beta. Previous halo betas were done like that. I agree though, some of the textures look pretty bad, especially on Pegasus.

It’s not even the textures, the maps themselves just have so much visual clutter everywhere which makes things look so ugly to me.

And the lighting is super bad, too much bloom, glare and filters on my screen.

They lowered the graphics to 720p for the beta to cut down on the download size. It will be 1080p on launch.

The game is 10 months away, it’ll be much better at release.

The Beta is 720p. Halo 4 on MCC is 1080p. That makes a difference.
Also, graphics are the last thing a game works on, and there is still less than a year left.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t Pegasus a forge map? Does anyone really expect forge maps made with generic pieces to look pretty?

As for the game itself, it’s a beta. Quality of graphics increase with each phase of development, and it’d be hard to believe that the final product won’t look better.
