Why halo 4 will succeed

Over the past week or so, there has been a slew of haters saying that halo 4 will fail utterly. I do not appreciate these haters and neither does the rest of the community, so i decided to put up a post to why halo 4 will succeed.

First: Halo 4 is throwing away the firefight mode and giving us a fresh Spartan Ops mode instead (With missions that play like firefight too).

Second: The AA’s will probably be balanced for better gameplay.

Third: The DMR and BR (Hopefully the NR and Carbine make it too) are back, everyone in the halo community gets the weapon that they want.

Fourth: Improved armory, more customization.

These are only a few things, the only negatives with halo 4 is that there might be no Elite player models and instant respawn.

Halo 4 will be spectacular!

Wow, a positive thread.

I agree. People are complaining over basically nothing. Halo 4 is starting to sound like one of the best titles this year.

The one thing I hate more about those kind of threads are the people who create new threads adding to the clutter that we already have.

Yes, people have opinions. Let them have it…

people can have their opinions, but the problem is the trolls aren’t backing down and they think that their opinion is the only one that matters. They are simply raging about nonsense(like the limited edition).

These people have to have something to complain about. I believe people like this ruined this good country.

Im not going to say Halo 4 gonna be the best game ever. Its gonna be great never the less. Im excited about it. I dont care if they gave Master Cheif a -Yoink!- change. Im buying Halo 4.

All you people who want to complain. Turn off your computer shove a grunt up your -Yoink-

OP, there are so many more reasons than what you listed but I thank you for staring this thread. At first I just ignored the haters but now its really bugging me. Ignorance and blind hate gets quite annoying but I obviously don’t have to tell you that.
I think Halo 4 will succeed:

  1. Movement speeds have returned to halo 3 speeds.
  2. Jump heights have also returned.
  3. maps were said to be more like earlier halo games, symmetrical.
  4. Spartan Ops may be the next Innovation.
  5. The return of The Master Chief.
  6. Graphics and lighting are stunning.
  7. A new enemy and new weapons.

The list goes on. Im just excited to see Halo 4 make its way into the world.

even if the series loses fans of the classic halo gameplay the game is still going to be successful.

If they leave Halo for this, I don’t consider them real fans.

plus if they leave what are they going to play anyway. All the other fps games nowadays have what these classic fans hate such as perks, loadouts, and other gameplay altering mechanisms

Counterstrike GO? although that will probably turn into CoD and BF as well.

Oh yeah because you definitely have the right to decide what is a true fan. All of the time, all of the money, and all of the love they’ve put into Halo doesn’t matter because they completely disagree with Halo’s new direction. Most of the people who you see that are upset care 10x more than you ever will, and having to step away from such a loved franchise could be harder than you would ever know.

Some people will always find something to complain about; a lot of the others have a genuine love for Halo.

its okay to be upset with the direction of the game and i agree with you it shows you care. However, some fans are just really acting immature and insulting. If you have a problem you have a right to complain but you can’t take it too far

Halo 4 probably will succeed as a whole but in sales, it’s another story. Call of Duty: Black Ops II is releasing 7 days after Halo Reach so I think this could have a huge impact on overall sales and success of the game since so many people are part of the Call of Duty sickness.

unless call of duty gets canceled which i was reading in another thread it could possibly happen

I don’t think it will. They’ll find some way.

yeah probably not. But even if cod gets the most sales which it probably will, halo will still have really good sales just not as much as cod

I love Halo greatly. Read all the books. Beat all the campaigns on Legendary. Played since CE.
Just because I am not super concerned about what happens to the arena and ranked stuff doesn’t mean I don’t care, as you assume.
I said that I don’t consider them real fans, that is if they leave the franchise solely over MM changes, which in reality aren’t even that big of a deal. There will still be good old Halo at its core, and we can still play it that way if you want.

I too have a genuine love for Halo, but that doesn’t mean I should be upset about the changes. I think they will be a cool addition to the game, and since I don’t play Halo just for competitive MM they don’t impact me as much as the people who are considering leaving Halo over these OPTIONAL changes.

The campaign looks amazing, the graphics have improved a lot, and 343 is showing a real dedication to tying the books with the games, as it always should have been.

I don’t have a problem with Halo’s direction, because I view it as more than just multiplayer, which is what everyone is really complaining about.

Here, here.

First of all, people are upset over a lot more than the so-called arena and ranked stuff. A ranking system can be a really nice addition to a game, but in my opinion, if you craft a game properly a ranking system doesn’t even matter. See: I could play Halo: CE for hours on end, and playing unranked in Halo 2 was no big deal.

Second, a lot of the mentioned changes potentially pose a threat to what makes Halo the game we all love. Yes, 343i says it’s “still Halo at its core.” But what reason do any of us have to “have faith.” There’s absolutely no reason to have faith; at the same time, there’s no reason to not have faith (if that makes sense) because 343i is an unproven commodity as a game developer.

You are correct, the direction of the campaign, and story arc as a whole, is looking good since 343i’s take over. I’m less confident in the multiplayer because it seems they are moving in a direction of other modern games (not just CoD either).

I apologize for making assumptions based on your passion for Halo, but I stand by my statement that you should not be so quick to judge those who complain.
