Let’s be honest, Halo 4 is amazing. In fact, Halo 4 is the best Halo game to date. We know, Halo is “different” now. Get over it. Just because you’ve been playing Halo for 10 or so years now, doesn’t mean you should expect Halo to be what it always has been.
Why is Halo 4 the best? Let me count the ways…
JIP - this is pure win. I mean, who wants to play a full game? Put me in a game that’s already started (hopefully, my team is already losing. Love that!), and let me play for a few minutes and be done with it. My attention span doesn’t last forever…
Boltshot - this is genius. Now, everyone can have a one shot kill weapon as soon as you spawn. I mean, isn’t it totally unfair to have to go to a certain spot on the map and pick something like this up? What if I die on the way there? Love this.
Specializations - better than Armor Abilities. Now, I can play against a team of camo users, people that can see through walls, jet packers, and someone that uses a hologram all in one game! Nice! This creates a perfect blend of complete chaos and “WTF?!” moments. Keep this.
Ordinance drops - Yes! Yes! Yes! I was so sick of actually having to “fight” for the weapons on the map. Do you know how hard it is to camp when you have to leave your tent to “find” that awesome weapon you like? Now, I have no clue who has what, but it’s awesome to randomly get some bad -Yoink- weapon I’ve always wanted. Make this bigger and more common!
Infinity Slayer - whoever decided to put three different maps in this playlist is my hero. Now, I can only play three maps over and over again and not have to worry about “learning” a new map. I hope, hope, hope 343 doesn’t add any maps to this playlist. That would be sooo Halo: Reach.
Weapons on the map - this was a step in the right direction. Now, weapons are randomly dropped, don’t really serve a purpose (I mean, I get ordinance drops. Who needs a weapon just lying around?), and re-spawn every five minutes. Seriously, who wants sniper or rockets to spawn more than once in a game? No fair.
Ranking system - finally! Now, I don’t have to look at someone’s “better” rank and want to kill myself. Just because someone “wins” more than I do, doesn’t mean they should be a higher rank than me. The SR ranks should probably go, but I’ll deal with it for now.
The music - I love turning on the game and hearing some lady crying in some high pitched tone that makes me think of my cat in heat. Very soothing…
The announcer - this is great! Now, I’m not confused about what’s happening in the game. I’m constantly getting updates from the announcer. “Assassination!” “Revenge!” Keep it up! Although, I’d appreciate an expansion on this… Can the announcer tell me when I reload and possibly when I shoot stuff? Please?
The BR - it’s back, baby! Well, sort of… I know it’s pretty much worthless against a DMR, but it’s so fun to shoot! Nerf the BR, it’s way too powerful!

Actually it wasn’t - it was done exponentially poorer and was strictly un-notable; in fact, it seemed a bit whiny to me.
i didnt read it all, but i’ll say its my favourite halo, they focus more on the story, and spartan ops, the game itself in every way is its own story and i feel its amazing.
it has alot of problems, and 343 have madea botch job with the community, but the game itself i do love
