Here are some of my reasons why I think Halo 2 should get an anniversary:
- Players new to the Halo series will probably start with the Combat Evolved anniversary, not the original…so when they get to the 2nd game to continue the story there is a noticable difference in quality and feel. Halo 3 still holds up decently graphics and sound effects wise today.
I had a friend who just played through the CE anniversary try out halo 2, and he said he wasn’t feelin it. One of the reasons was the weak feel of the guns.

Some of the Master Chiefs greatest moments were in Halo 2, imagine the Chief flying out the airlock on Cairo Station with the bomb but in new graphics. Plus the highway would look amazing darker with lights, evoking a Bladerunner vibe. The game had some real cool settings and areas like High Charity. Halo 2 was the first time in the series we got to see Earth.

Currently Halo 2 has not aged as well as Halo CE, the gun sound effects are incredibly weak, and sound less like real firearms and more like fake sound effects…which they were.

I personally felt the new suit Chief got looked lame opposed to the art, its too light green…and the concept art for the suit looked way better…having the visor have dark/silver parts like below would look amazing, plus bulkier.

It would be great fan service, fans would appreciate it.

They could put an option in the menu that allows you to switch the chiefs suit to the Halo 4 version which was apparently supposed to be the same suit in the first place, or keep a revamped version of the classic.
