Agreed! But they are probably trying to counter the people who TRY to get betrayed just so they can boot a player.
My main problem is, playing BTB or Infinity slayer, see enemy and teammate over there, think there’s a 50-50 chance they will make it so I throw a nade/shoot a rocket to help them, with no team damage they will be fine. Then go into Objective/Dominion then BAM, get a betrayal because I forgot there is team killing enabled.
I also don’t like how we can damage teammates vehicles. In one game I was gunning in the Gauss and I had a teammate aimlessly driving around in a hog by themselves and we decide to book it out and the idiot in the other hog ends up ramming us and we get sandwiched and die.
We later get another gauss and I see the same teammate in the other hog again and I’m all “NO 'HOG FOR YOU”. And I shoot the hog and blow him out of it, no betrayal, just revenge, but it’s not right, not how Halo was/should be.

No it doesn’t, it just promotes some butthurt little turdling backstabbing me because I got the sniper/shotgun/rocket/magic toejam before he did. Heaven forbid that I’m actually half decent at using most weapons (Except for Railgun, Sticky and Splaser, I still haven’t got the hang of them yet…)
I must be lucky in that I’ve never actually run into friendly fire on my vehicle, except by accident or, y’know, after the match has finished. I don’t see why they don’t just turn off friendly vehicle fire if it’s that much of a problem.
I’m glad they took team killing out of the game. I started playing Dominion for the first time today (which is a -Yoinking!- awesome game mode, btw) and on my first ever match of Dominion I was team killed twice for the binary rifle by some -Yoink- on my team. Honestly, I wish they would turn friendly fire off on all game modes…

I’m not 100% positive about why they still allow vehicle friendly fire, but my guess is that it’s because if they didn’t you’d be able to exploit the physics system and launch teammates across the maps and such by boosting into them with ghosts/banchees/etc. If someone can confirm this or knows the actual reason that friendly fire is still allowed with vehicles then please let me know, I’m actually quite curious about it.
