Why exclude Halo 2?

Halo 2 achievements are not tracked on Halo Waypoint. The PC port of Halo 2 was the first halo game to feature achievements. It confuses me as to why it is excluded. Any official word from 343i would be nice to hear, but I want to hear from the community why tracking Halo 2 achievements is a bad thing.

*I am aware of the Halo 2 PC severs being shutdown in February, but that does not make the achievements impossible, but much more difficult.

Most likely because it is on the computer rather than Xbox.

No, no it does not.

So with the servers down how will people earn the achievements that require more than 1 person.
