its bloody weak. does no damage what so ever! why give it the ability to stomp that does no damage quite silly indeed.
ive used about 10 mantis now pretty much each death is become of the stomp doing no damage? you watch it in theater an no damage is done, ive literally stomped on someone and it has done nothing. so why give it the ability to stomp? confused

Usually i play with a fireteam so i guess maybe thats how im more aware of where there are and when to use the mantis stomp
I never use mantis stomp simply because it makes you immobile for too long, which leads to an easy hijack or death. I only use stomp in last ditch emergency situations but otherwise I don’t even bother pressing the button.
The stomp needs to be buffed to be a little like wardens stomp.

although I have always said the mantis should have jet thrusters…
Yup someone could be right under my foot and still board me from the front the sides anywhere and unfortunately the mantis doesn’t have much range so you can’t really use it as a defensive vehicle like a scorpion either so your chances of being boarded are much higher I don’t think I’ve ever even had one long enough to die from actual vehicle destruction just always get boarded even when I see one in not afraid of it
They should have changed it up and made it a kick instead of a stomp… would be hilarious to send a Spartan flying

Every step of the Mantis should have the power of a Stomp
I do not know why in halo 5 but in halo 4 it was great, Enemy could only hijack a Mantis from the back. Now you can be hijacked from any direction. I feel really special if I am able to
The first time I got a kill with the stomp was last night. And that was only because the rest of the body of the mantis was behind the home base shield and the enemy red was standing right in front of it.
Definitely agree that Stomp is too weak and takes too long.

Stopped using the Mantis around my 3rd hijacking because I’d stomp a player, but it wouldn’t kill them and I’d end up losing the REQ.
Now they’re used for points.

No i really meant banshees
You know those people who cant aim from afar with their banshees and come in too close to me in a mantis and they get stomped
