they have a website they have a news list and forums and they have their own thingy on xbox live… what the hell?
…Why not?

This exactly, they do MAJOR announcements via the Website & forums, Twitter tends to get it last.
> …Why not?

Why not? You asked why they have a twitter. Well answer me this, why SHOULDN’T they have one?
It’s not some sort of super secret insider information squirrel club and you certainly don’t need to follow them. You can find the information tweeted on the homepage or in the news here on Waypoint usually so how does it affect you if they have a twitter?

Why not? Trollllzzzz
Yeah, I dont like them using Twitter more than the site either.
For what it’s worth, so far, all of the other Twitter links are to 343 employee’s personal accounts, at which they are only hinting towards what may be to come.
Dude the whole world is moving towards more social integration within, well, within everything. Pretty soon I reckon we’ll be able to post our latest matchmaking victories on facebook with one click of the button (eg. after a Halo:Reach matchmaking game) and you’re moving against it? I do not intend to troll by saying this, but do you live under a rock?

It’s my opinion that it’s important to let people absorb information using the method they prefer, whether that’s through a website, an RSS feed, a podcast, various social networks, or other options that are available in this day and age. This of course needs to be done in moderation as we only have so much time in our days, but we all have different preferences when it comes to digesting news, and it’s about catering to those tastes when possible more than anything else.

I can sympathise entirely.

Except when it came to telling people when and where Halo 4 WOULDN’T be. That stuff only seemed to be confirmed at NeoGaf…
