Hello spartans it is the halo insider. Here with another topic. First I would like to say that I am sorry for not posting lately I have been busy. Now why is doom guy better than masterchief. Here are 3 reasons. He has conquered the demon hordes of hell 5 times in a row. Now when you count chief conquering the covenant 3 times the flood twice and a forerunner god. So that 6 wins. But doom guy has fought demons and the devil himself. 2 he has um anger issues. But you would be to if demons destroyed your home town and never got off your back. So when he does the assassinations, I mean gory kills, I mean glory kills. He breaks bones before smashing there heads in oh and don’t get me started with the chain saw. Finally he went to hell and stayed there with a magical or cursed shotgun just to keep hell inline I mean that takes gutts. So I personally think doom guy would be killed by chief no doubt.

If anything the Chief is a spiritual evolution of Doom guy, I would expect him to be superior.

Doom Guy may of killed the devil himself, but the precursors created the galaxy before turning into the flood to get revenge on the forerunners. Chief beat the flood twice therefore Master Chief successfully defeated God twice. Checkmate.

It’s Doom Guy. He had no name, so he is affectionally the marine called Doom Guy. He was never given a name for reasons of game immersion as you, the player is meant to be the main character. Doom Guy has a better ring to it than Doom Marine. In the books he had a couple of names, Flynn Taggart and John Kane, in the film he was John Grimm (Reaper) Sorry I’m a Doom nerd lol.
On topic, Doom Guy gets my vote over Sierra 117, but only just, both are great video game protagonists.

that is wrong, he is known as Doom Marine. The regular wiki page is wrong. Doomguy was invented by the fans, his title as by the developers is Doom marine and at times, doom slayer. It’s not wrong, I agree he is officially a marine, but everyone refers to him as Doom Guy, and I don’t need wiki for anything, everything I wrote was from memory, not some wiki page lol.

As cool as Doom Guy is, Chief is far, far, FAR superior to him. Of course I’m going to admit that I and probably everyone on the form is going to be a little bit bias and root for chief. Yet hear me out on this one: Chief is one lucky S.o.B he gave the covenant back their bomb, he survived a pretty long drop back to earth without a drop pod, he’s beat the flood and covenant so many times it’s not even funny, and to top it off he beat the -yoink- of 3 or 4 big buff ODSTs when he was like 12.
Now I think doom guy could hold his own for a while, but in the end Chief sends him to hell permanently…
TBH I think they’re about equal…put Chief in Doomguy’s place and he’d break demon face as hard as he breaks Covenant.
Doomguy would do the same in Chief’s place…though probably with a bit more brutality and a little less team tactics. Not a BAD thing, Im pretty sure even a Sangheili would fear someone coming at him with a CHAINSAW…

Ok, here comes my last nerdly explanation/correction heh. Alright, actually, he is not a regular Marine as we think. Sure, Doom 3 game wrongly put him in the role as if he would be a USMC or Earth Marine or whatever, but Doom 3 went way off the meaning of the real Doom, it was more of a, spiritual successor let’s put it that way. The protagonist, he is actually, the Doom Marine, we do not know yet why he was picked, but yeah, he is known in the game universe, as the doom marine. Doom guy was implemented by the newer generation of players, that never played the original doom and are to this day kind of confused as to who he actually is, thus, Doom Guy was invented. On a not nerdy base, sure, people can go ahead and call him Doom Guy, eventho he is the chosen Doom Marine, just by what, we do not know, yet at least.
We had discussion about this and this is the final results. It might be old but still had revelance.
