Why dont they not update halo reach?

Okay i know the game is very old but its still thriving to this day over 7,000 players a day! (according to players online count in game)
But valve update their old cs games why dont 343? If the game is still popular they should grab the opportunity to keep people who like classic halo in the franchise (New armor effects, helmets, maps, updates and more armory items) this would be the best thing ever! Maybe make a New special helmets like haunted but even harder to get like recon from halo 3.

Anyways tell me what you think this would very much keep halo amazing but i guess you cant have everything.

Because 343 is working on newer projects like Destiny and Halo 6. They may care enough to keep the Reach servers running but I doubt they will be doing any updates to it. I think it’s partially why they did that classic helmet pack in Halo 5 with some of the old helmets from Reach as well as the Memory of Reach pack with Noble Team’s Armor.

Bungie are working on Destiny, that’s their franchise not 343’s

OP - Reach is closing in on 8 years old this year, it’s also a game that 343 didn’t develop they only took over late game support for it. Along with that it’s also a 360 game and support for those games have now ended, except for critical server maintenance. They need to devote their resources to current and future projects, not possible to continue to support every legacy project they have. At some point things need to be wrapped up

XD. Oops, my bad. I totally forgot that Bungie passed over Halo to 343 before working on Destiny. It’s been so long since I played Destiny, I forgot who made it.
