Is there a reason to freeze your shields and health while you’re sprinting? Why can’t they just take longer to charge or something? Completely freezing your shield recharge kinds sucks.
The whole idea of balancing sprint is to tie them to your shields. Ultimately there are people who think sprint is fine and people who think sprint has no place in Halo. 343 had sprint in H4 and it had no consequences to using it to run away from fire fights and such, people didn’t really like this. Now they’re tied to your shields in order to balance sprint essentially.
Even still, it shouldn’t completely stop your shields from charging. Like I said, a slower charge would be better.
Slow charge still allows for runners to get the upper hand, the point is to force a conflict were the person with better aim or better use of abilities will win. Slowly recharging can allow a runner to dodge shots and still get full health before fighting. Eliminating the advantages the map gives players who use there clamber abilities to get the drop on players. (A good player can still turn a crappy situation into a kill, not saying you HAVE to be pro to do it)

Nah man, this is way better. Like Porcin3 said, forces you to fight or die.
