This might sound like a silly thing to ask, but almost every game I play I look at the randoms on my team’s stats and they always have very low shot counts, low accuracy, and low damage dealt. Like, 90% of people, 90% of games easy its like this.
I don’t understand why people don’t just shoot at the enemy…its like they’re sitting around waiting on swords and going for melees
It’s a free to play game, aimed at young teenagers. So you’re probably getting random newbs every other match who are still trying to learn how to play Infinite.
343 may have watered down the Halo formula so the COD/Fortnite players could transfer over more comfortably, but unfortunately cosmetics and in store purchases don’t improve a player’s accuracy or skill.
And worse yet, they don’t care about how they perform as long as they can spend money on customizations
You’d think a focus on winning would make them want to see how they look more, since theres the end screen poses for victories.
part of the problem is my MMR is probably pretty high, because I win more matches than I lose and tend to go really positive, at least in the playlists I frequent the most. So since it’s all connected, it saddles me with the WORST teammates possible, literally less useful than bots, and causes me to get railroaded by the enemy team because I’m basically having to fight by myself.

I had a few matches in a row like that last night. I was by far the best player in the match, but my team was so bad that we still lost. I don’t mind that occasionally, but it happened enough that I was wondering what changes they made to the matchmaking. It’s not like my latency and desync was any better.
Unfortunately, most people these days don’t see winning as prudent to competition as making sure everyone FEELs good. A lot of people these days want a medal for showing up, which devalues and takes motivation away from those that actively perform.
Eh that end screen thing is lame, ots not really a motivator to see your cosmetics, besides most of the coatings are just a light shade of the cadet default colors.
Basically they are selling players default colors from previous Halo games… No one’s excited to see that
Maybe they’re just noobs being noobs, or smurfs being smurfs. To be fair, with the bad hit registration, and using a mouse without aim assist, you really can just dump your whole entire clip into someone and watch them shrug it off, so even if I’m not missing, my accuracy is straight garbage in this game. I only care about having a positive K/D, and if we have the most points or not. Winning is all that matters.
Melees aren’t reliable either, but some matches are so laggy, you’re better off with a melee. Even sword and hammer will occasionally just miss or not kill. I mean I’ve even played tons of Fiesta matches where I got more kills with melees and back smacks than I’d get with the trash weapons I spawned with. This game is just not stable enough to get reliable kills with an AR.
Besides, I miss assassinations. I love getting Ninjas and back smacks, but I really just want to assassinate people that don’t see it coming. Use whatever guns you want, but just know plenty of people love a quick and dirty melee kill
Yeah i wonder how some people miss every bullet in an AR mag except like 2 bullets lol.

For me I think it is due to being constantly outnumbered and out skilled. Also, the last time I played I had challenges for the pistol and there was no competing against the AR with the pistol.
Yea I hate the mmr system used for match making. I can pretty much only play this game with friends or ill just get mad over the paste brains 343 gives me. Can’t handle golds, platinums, even diamonds playing just as bad if not worse than my silver friend. I don’t care if you have 8 kills, you have 15 deaths and the score is like 40-40 - it’s time to hide. I know people have bad games, but come on.

I know what you mean. I easily put up 300 and even up to 600 more BR shots in ranked than my teammates.
One guy even called me trash for not picking up the oddball despite putting up 400 more shots with a higher accuracy and 9kda vs his -4kda. We won. I gained a lot of CSR. The guy with the most oddball time barely moved.
I usually have the highest amount of assist despite not using a mic to call all the enemies I leave absolute.
