Its very annoying how knights don’t show their face once you shoot their wings off, especially when they spawn in groups.
It makes them a bullet sponge when you have to shoot them in the face(with helmet on)

Knights actually do open their faceplate, but they don’t seem to do it very consistently.
Only bosses do not.
Becasue it was a little too easy to kill knight bosses. After taking out a weak point, the roughly two to three seconds of exposure once taken a headshot from a BR for example would have killed it instantly. Now you’d have to shot the mask off or focus fire on the back to kill it faster.
If that happened, then one shot would have been enough to kill a Knight!
The upped the difficulty for bosses. If a knight is a boss, it won’t open its faceplate. If it is non-boss knight it will open the faceplate if you shoot his critical points. On a similar note boss elites cannot be assassinated, until their health is low enough.
