Lord they do! I hate seeing the hyperbole around this. We’re pissed, believe me, but they do listen. I think Halo Infinite itself is a testament that they listen and care. But there are problems, and we will solve them by diplomatic expression of our ideas
No, this would most likely be management/everyone above the devs that do the actual work. It’s just like any company you work for. You are there to do your job but how a company runs their business you don’t have a say in anything unless you are on the board with a company like this.
In spite of me agreeing with you that this is 100% BS that 343 took this game down this road, there is not a single thing any of us can do to change anything unless they are willing to change. Seeing how they took advantage of the player base right off the bate being fully aware of what they are doing is wrong? Don’t expect much to change for the best interest of the game or player base.
You brought up Bungie, and they are a prime example of what’s wrong with gaming today. (Shops became more important than creating a quality type of game for the player base that keeps the player base interest by creating content that keeps them engaged in that content.)
There are people that work for 343 that really do care about the direction of the game, but they are just like you and me. They don’t have a say in what direction the game heads. It’s really sad that 343 went down this road and I’m expecting things to get a lot worse with the shop as it has and will continue to do with Destiny because the shop is what is actually dictating this entire game.
The pricing is absolutely insane. I really don’t understand who thought a lot of people would buy items with those price tags. Another thing is the fact you can’t mix n match the colors, helmets etc. All of these things are honestly so damn annoying that I don’t even want to check what I’ve just unlocked because I know it’s locked so that I can’t use it with other things I’d like to put on my spartan. Like even something as small as visor colors locked to a specific helmet? Are you people fvcking kidding me.
Can’t even change/remove the emblem on the Spacestation gaming core. I have to wear that though I’ve got no idea what kind of guys they are and I don’t care about esports at all. Things are made so restricted and overpriced it’s unreal. I’m a CE og and loved especially Reach. I really hope they fix things before it affects the player base severely. This game plays so well and looks so beautiful, please work on these things FAST or it will cause people to jump ship. With that said, I love Halo and always will.
And if you had read what I said you would know that they have not a good record and have had disagreements with them directly over certain things. They have recently lied about certain things in their recent blogs so no they have not been as transparent as you claim. People are furious because they have not been truthful.
Having a huge ‘fanbase’ doesn’t not mean there are listening or care. When a majority of the community is saying one thing and the company does the opposite it becomes painfully obvious that there not listening. Biggest flaw is not just the monetization but it’s one of the major complaints just like missing a lot of content and rushing out a beta so close to a release that isn’t actually a proper beta.
Valid criticism is fine true but saying things that are clearly not true is ridiculous. They were literally caught lying and now you’re saying they listen. Other companies that listen…try Sega they seem to actually care about Sonic their community and respect them. You say they care about fans and yet they made wild claims that were clearly not true. When fanbases like Battlefield 2042 are saying that it’s not as bad as what Infinite is doing then we should know how bad things have come. 343i were the same company that used the Halo 5 REQ video is insult/patronise fans and I can’t think of any of my favourite franchises that have done that before.

Just to add for the Sega comparison you just made. The last good Sonic game that released was Sonic Mania, and that was created by the Sonic community themselves, not Sega. Every Sonic game since Sonic 06 has been absolute garbage, except for maybe 1 or 2.
343 has a history of Rocky launches for their Halo games, but as we’ve seen with MCC and 5, overtime they listen to community feedback and improve the game overtime. You can say they have mislead us in previous community updates, and you can make valid criticisms, but you can NOT say 343 does not listen to community feedback. I have faith Ske7ch and Staten have Infinites best intentions in mind and will continue to listen to feedback and improve the game.
Sonic Mania was great and there pretty good with accepting fan games and they were quick to change the complaints from Super Sonic paid dlc to free and there allowing the Sonic 06 fan remake to happen that fix’s all the major bugs and Sonic 06 story wasn’t bad. If you think Sonic only has 1 or 2 good games then you’re talking complete nonsense. Good Sonic games…Sonic Adventure/Heroes/Riders/Sonic 1-3/Knuckles/Unleashed and Sonic Rush/Rivals, etc… You sound like IGN with your generalisation and sounds like you have barely played any. 
343i has a rocky road because they have a bad habit of ignoring fans and making false statement. Do you even remember how long 343i felt MCC broken? they only recently bothered to do anything with the game and got pizza delivered because they had finally stopped ignoring the PC community.
As for Halo 5 no they didn’t listen because they only catered to the competitive scene…which is why of the main complaints about modern Halo and don’t even get me started on the stupid HCS only playlists in Halo Infinite.
Yes I can say they mislead fans because they did and if they had made a paid game and done this then people would be suing the company. Yes there are some people who listen but there also people in 343i that have been snarky towards for wanting changes in MCC that have not been fixed due to poor excuses like claiming it’s a design choice to allow games to be exploited.

Please let me know any other developer that addresses community feedback and improves their games based on that. COD is much more predatory with their monetization. There was a nail gun released for one of their seasons that had a crazy TTK (Like .4 seconds) and you could either unlock it by a, completing a set of 10 tedious challenges or b, buy it in the store for $20. That is more predatory than anything 343 has done for Infinite.

I have stopped playing CoD for years because they don’t listen and Battlefield seems to be going the same direction. From the games I played and the stuff I like playing compared to Halo Infinite it is the most predatory game at the moment for me. Generally when games get as bad as Infinite I tend to drop them and Halo 5 was pushing their luck and if it wasn’t related to Halo I would have probably dropped it sooner. Halo Infinite is the 1st Halo in the series that I dropped in a matter of days due to the predatory system and that’s not a good sign.
Yeah I agree with you there. I think a great solution would be for us to earn credits in game, 50cr for each win. However I wouldn’t call it predatory. Same reason why I don’t walk into a clothing shop and call it “predatory” cause I can’t buy everything. Me personally, I’m not spending any money on cosmetics until 343 allows us to earn credits in game
I think they simply need to just look at the MCC layout and focus on that since it makes it feel like the player is getting plenty of exp and feels more rewarding when players do better while constantly giving players option to get more unlocks. As for premium tokens then they should just use the tokens like in MCC so players can earn limited amount of tokens per week. Clothes shops can be predatory too…some clothes shops have sane prices for normal prices and some have ridiculous prices and the same can be said for food in places like London.

Halo Infinite for me in my veiw is really good. But changes are needed to make things better. Like Reach unlocks for everything the original color charts. Right now the the stuff we have currently went in the wrong direction but 343 did hear us out and said change will take time.
