We saw hurakog in Halo 3 ODST and Halo Reach, but we never see them in the three other games who follow. The only game that 343i made where we see them is Halo Wars 2.
So I wonder why 343 don’t want to bring back the Hurakogs ? I know that after the end of the prophets and the covenants, a majority of Hurakogs disappeared, but I found it would be logical that each faction have a few of them. Apparently, the Banished have Hurakogs since we saw them in HW2, so I was surprise to don’t see them in Infinite.
Theyre capacitie to improve ennemy shield is interessant for the gameplay. It would be also interesting to save Hurakogs from the enemy and use them.
And you, would you like to see them in the next Halo game ?
They are actually a crucial role in a lot of the lore, but I guess 343 doesn’t feel their relevant. . .
Nothing super to contribute but i noticed in Stockpile matches in MP the powerseeds have a humming noise similar to the Huragok/Engineer’s noises that they make in ODST.
Also the Super intendent AI remarks on being unable to “determine weapon origin” of the Heatwave durring MP. So maybe there is some connective tissue to them being known as engineers & being strangely absent maybe puts them in a place in the plot where they were leaned on as power resources or actually as weapon production/creation but some of the Banished strongholds from the game put my theory in the ground.
idk, good post tho!
I miss them as well, one of the more interesting looking alien species.
The Yanme’e (drones) are also an endangered species in Halo games
Engineers are awesome. Just rolled one up for DnD as a custom lineage life domain cleric based on Roams Alone. Gonna heal all of the things. XD
In the games tho… Idk their presence was always sorta tacked on anyway. They don’t serve any real combat purpose that made them interesting to fight.
However I can envision a world where huragok roam like docile megafauna just fixing broken vehicles and cleaning up fobs or something. Sort of like an in-game explanation as to why certain areas always ‘reset’ between player visits.
Even in the TV Show we don’t see the Hurakog
