Why doesn't IS have a classic counterpart?

Slayer Pro is cool and all, I mean it’s nice to have a gametype that sort of resembles the Halo of old and I don’t really have a problem with it, but I can’t help but wonder why you didn’t just give us standard Team Slayer? It seems a bit strange adding a Pro gametype to what many consider to be a casual/social playlist like Infinity Slayer. It doesn’t make much sense to me.

Are we ever going to see Team Slayer in Halo 4? I feel the game needs it so players who want a break from the Infinity settings every now and again don’t have to go back to previous games just to get their fix, but that’s just my opinion. The game should appeal to everyone’s needs.

CTF has both Infinity CTF and a somewhat classic counterpart, and Action Sack kinda does too with Fiesta Classic, so why not Slayer?

I just don’t think it’s fair to forget about everyone who played and loved all the original Halo games up until this point, and that’s what I feel 343 have done. For me personally it was like “Oh, everything I loved about Slayer is gone now. That sucks. What’s the point in playing?”
