Why doesn't Halo 5 have more (UNSC) air vehicles?

Link to the UNSC air vehicles in Halo’s multiplayer. Isn’t 343 focusing on more in Halo’s multiplayer? Here are some good examples, especially the falcon. Comment.

I know there are some people that hate the Wasp but I personally love it, I just think it should have been there since launch. Both the Covenant and the Promethians had an aerial vehicle, and it’s not like the UNSC have never had any in game before. I do think that 343 missed a perfect opportunity to reintroduce the Falcon during the Memories of Reach update, as having a multi passenger air vehicle would add another layer of depth and teamwork to the combat. The only negative thing I can say about the Wasp is that it doesn’t have a unique feel to it. Each aerial vehicle has an ability: Banshees can barrel roll and Phaetons can do that teleport manoeuvre. The Hornet had room for two passengers while the Falcon had two chainguns to boot.

Well said. +1

Because the last thing we need is another UNSC vehicle.

That’s what I mean, instead of 300 reskins of the same Warthog at launch, give us like 3 tiered variants and the Wasp. As aesthetically pleasing as the Woodland and Tundra 'hogs are, why not put a map setting in place that changes the colour scheme depending on the terrain. Similar to Avalanche in Halo 3.

That would be a great idea, especially for BTB. The Falcon is a different and unique vehicle to the Wasp, and that’s why I think it should be added. Plus its great fun for custom games, BTB and Machinimas.

I’m pretty sure it has to do with budget cuts. The UNSC spent way to many Republican Credits on non-destructible cement for buildings that none was leftover for aerial vehicles.

I’d be happy just to earn ANY aerial vehicle to begin with. lol I’ve had the game maybe a little over a month now. I play enough to justify getting more than a few (6 tops) Banshee’s and one Phaeton (only got it because I used a random vehicle req). I’m full with ghosts and warthogs though. lol
