Why doesn't 343 give us a map remake?

Treyarch just remade Firing Range for Black Ops 2 and everybody loves it. Why doesn’t 343 remake something we have been asking for like Guardian?

Sprint and instant respawn change the way that maps play.

I bought a new game so I expect new content. If I want to play old stuff from old games, I’ll go play those games.

Plus you have Forge, use it.

That just further proves the point that those features don’t belong in Halo.

I agree with two exceptions… Blood Gulch & Reach’s Forge World.

They should definitely release a classic map pack in the future. Ascension in HD makes too much sense.

I would rather have a map I know is great than terrible maps nobody ever votes for.

That’s actually a really good point. Take ragnarok, people love that map. It was worth the remake…

I don’t understand why everyone is constantly asking for remakes. Blood Gulch particularly can go away forever. It’s the worst canyon based map in Halo history. Give me one reason why BG is better than any other canyon map?(don’t say because of RvB because that is a stupid reason to want the map remade.) Even Coagulation was a far superior version of BG. Blood Gulch was flat, boring, and absolutely filled with spawn killing(which I know would be fixed in a new version of it but still…). Their are very few maps that I would even want to see remade. Terminal is about the only map I would truly ask for though.

I concur.

Because 343 dosen’t want to take the time out to do a map remake.

I’d rather play the new maps than Ragnarok anymore. As fun as it was in H3, that map gets has gotten picked to the point where I don’t like it anymore. It’s unfortunate too, because it seems like the entire lobby picks it while I vote for Vortex

Judging from Ragnarok, it can safely be said that any remake would play terribly in Halo 4 with stuff like the DMR, Light Rifle and Armour Abilities. I think it might be for the best if we stick to new maps that are designed around Halo 4’s sandbox rather than just reuse old maps. It’s a shame, really, since I loved seeing remakes in Halo 2/3.

All I want is The Pit, Sidewinder, and GOOD remake of Lockout, not the lame they made using forge
