Why Does this Game Only Have 2 Maps?

I payed $60 for this game, you’d think it would include more than two maps. The other Halos had plenty of maps for each game mode.
Halo 4 only has one map for small teams and one map for large teams and I feel kind of cheated.

I mean on the map voting, there are other choices, but since no one votes for them I just assume they’re for decoration and it automatically goes to the one of the two maps in the game.

That has to be what’s going on because everyone knows the Halo community is a smart bunch of people and they would never do something so stupid as to vote for the same map every time.

What gives 343? 2 maps? Really?

Give 343 time. I’m sure there will be newer maps.

copy pasta

Don’t blame 343. Blame the community if you are going to blame anyone.

It’s voted on.

People’s choices will change overtime. Settle down.

People big Ragnarok because it it nostalgic of blood gulch.

People big Haven because it is a great map.

> Give 343 time. I’m sure there will be newer maps.

I don’t know if I trust them to. The internet says there are more than two maps already but when I play the game, I only go to two different maps.
So they’ve lied already.

Here’s a tip: try playing other playlists. If you sit in IS and BTB:IS then you won’t get much variation. Try dominion.

There are more than 2 maps…

Haven is not a great map, people just like to run and gun that’s all. I never see great positive scores for it. Sometimes I end up playing it 5-8 times in a row :frowning:

So wait, you’re telling me the problem is that people always just vote for the same map?

But I thought a map voting system was a GOOD thing?
Because I know the Halo community, and smart people like that make good choices, right?

i do share this frustration tho, haven sucks and Ragnarok is overplayed, i wish people would vote for some variety…

Well here’s my opinion.

There’s not enough maps to have a 3 choice system in place. Because there’s not many more maps than that, the favorites always get included in.

It either needs to be
a) two choices or
b) no choice at all

I frankly don’t see the benefit in having a map voting system. Period. It just creates problems like this.

If you want to play the same map all the time, then it should have a server browser system so there can be “24/7 THIS MAP SERVER” and then also “24/7 ROTATION SERVER” and all that.

how is it the games fault that the community likes the same boring things over and over and over?
they needed to take away the option to vote, because that is what really watered down the experience. the community is just dumb.

need to go back to the Veto system of H3.

That’s what I’m saying. 343 needs to change it because the community won’t change.

You can’t just blame this community specifically. It’s going to happen on any game. Heck, it’s been 8 years and 90% of Counter Strike: Source players are still playing de_dust2.

That’s weird. I’ve never had that problem. I’ve played on 9 out of the 10 maps. I only haven’t played on Meltdown. Mainly because I mostly play the smaller scale playlists. Meltdown is only in 3 playlists. Big Team, Team Snipers and Dominion. I’ve only played one game each of Big Team and Team Snipers but I love Dominion. It doesn’t come up much in Dominion, though, for some reason. Point is, you’ll see and play on different maps depending on the playlist you’re in. On this site, check the Playlists page in the Halo 4 Intel tab and you can see which maps are in the different playlists (if you didn’t know).

That doesn’t prove anything bad a bout Haven. It’s still a good map you just aren’t good at it.

They gave us 10 maps, only 2 to 4 are ever voted for.
That is definitely 343s community’s fault

Point = missed.

At least put back the Halo 3 veto system.

Variety, for me, is more important than playing my favorite map every time.
Because if I play it every time, then it’ll just become stale and lose it’s magic.

I remember I was so excited that Valhalla would be included again. Now every time it’s picked, all I can think is “NO, GOD NO. NOT RAGNAROK”

Normal infinity slayer seems to get more variety than BTB at least. Haven is picked the most for sure, but not as often as Ragnarok in BTB.

I actually don’t mind repeated Ragnarok, but I do think a bit more variety would be appreciated.

I blame 343 for the return of the vote system.

I prefer no choice system. But I would meet in a middle ground of the single-veto system.

Voting is just horrible as it forces every game into one of monotony. NOT something you want for a game that hundreds of hours will be invested in for a single person.
