The lack of content in this game is insulting. Not one single halo game developed by Bungie came with the lack of maps or modes as this game does. Its literally a disgrace. Not even FORGE MODE WAS DONE ON RELEASE!!! these guys are pathetic! They have literally gotten nothing right, the aiming, the levels, the campaign NOTHING ! And people wonder why COD has taken over as the premier FPS game. If microsoft wants halo to live DISBAND 343 and beg bungie to come back!
Because 343 doesn’t like keeping a large population, I guess?
- Halo 5 is lacking in desired, most-recently mainstay content. - Bungie is not in any better position to be asked back. - Better structure your posts so people don’t make assumptions and the whole thread falls apart.
They were too busy making sure that Arena was super duper competitive to have anything else be in the game, unfortunately. 343i has yet to prove to me that they are worthy of the Halo mantle. Halo 5 is fun, sure, but it lacks so many features and has a couple of crucial issues that prevent me from loving it as much as Bungie’s games.
… a good majority of the people who worked on halo joined 343 and it was a bunch of new guys working on destiny and tbh with how destiny turned out idk what group would be worse
But I feel most of the issues come from how much more control Microsoft has over halo since 343 took over while bungei was able to work for the most part freely 343 has to work around Microsoft
Dude I just played the same map 6 TIMES IN A ROW 6!!! that is pathetic! This is while ill be playing fallout 4 and rainbow six for the rest of the winter. these guys dropped the ball big time(AGAIN!!!)
As long as the competitive players are happy that’s all that matters, and if you don’t like it go play something else

What about the competitive players who aren’t happy?

Every time. Only a handful of Bungie’s team went on over to 343i.
Bungie’s team broke down over the past couple of months and it’s likely they may go on to form another development studio whilst the rest continue to work on Destiny.
Some people are so impatient… they are adding stuff later. Also it’s not like it’s going to be long. It’s all being added before the end of the year. With the disaster that was the MCC launch I don’t mind if they take their time with the additional upcoming content.

Adding stuff LATER ? This is the problem! We’ve been conditioned to accept incomplete games from developers all while still paying full price. You should demand more out of these people. They’ve been developing this game for YEARS and you’re ok with its scant offerings?

You do know that not everyone who has a gaming console is a competitive/pro player… so basically making a game to pander to 10% of a community just ostracized the other 90%.

Okay will people stop spreading this very untrue statement around… even the head of 343 has said it’s untrue that 343 is made up of ex-bungie… the only ones that came from bungie were a artist an one other… and recently a lot of 343 left to go join bungie… so there is that too.
Oh and OP, i agree… this game is lacking in alot… even halo 4 had more story and things too it… this one is lacking in alot… just looking at the waypoint posts about it show that

We shouldn’t have to wait till later. The cod kiddies got all their staple game-modes / playlists at launch, when they were supposed to. The fallout fans got everything they wanted.
Don’t ever say to be patient because we’re getting it later. People like you are fueling developer BS
Even if bungie came back, I doubt the halo series would be that much better. I mean look at Destiny. That was a game made by Bungie that basically failed everyone’s expectations at launch.

I got everything I wanted at launch. It was no secret what was going to be available with the game at launch. No one made you buy it right away. If forge and btb are so important you should have just waited to buy it.

Some people may have gotten everything they wanted, but by allowing game developers to get away with releasing less content each release, you’re cheating yourself out of more and more, and pretty much ruining games for everyone else.
Each year, people’s 60 dollars are buying less and less content and letting developers know that they can keep on giving us less and for the same (or in some cases more) amount of money.

Not from a mechanics perspective. The game’s playability is undeniable.

How is it less? They aren’t deleting it and they aren’t charging more for it later. Yeah I guess it sucks for some they have to wait a few weeks for it but no need to be divas about it considering the content will be there… I just fail to see how it’s “ruined” when the simple answer is buy the game when it has the content you want. If 343 said well the game is ready but we need to put finishing touches on forge and btb people would be going ape… give us our game and add that later…

And you don’t think it the game’s full content should’ve been at launch? This isn’t an early access game. Halo had been full of content every time. It lacks maps and modes at launch, which is bad.

There is so much wrong with this comment. You got what you want, so screw the majority of the people that aren’t happy with the absolute lack of content? “It’s not going to be long”, you do realize the state Halo has been in since 4 don’t you? Add to that the recent disaster of MCC’s launch. 343 needed to have all their cards on the table at launch to be in with a chance of not only pleasing their disappointed fanbase but also in hopes of maintaining a reasonable population.
Under no circumstances should you defend them for having so much content missing and MCC isn’t a scapegoat either. MCC was a mess of a product for so many reasons and 343 were only partly to blame for it. MCC was a product of multiple studios so they aren’t just to blame, it was such a complex undertaking even with a years extras development time would have still had lots of issues.
So, what exactly have 343 been doing all this time? Campaign was short and as many people have said it felt rushed with missing portions and ended as the story finally went somewhere and the Multiplayer side is extremely lacking in maps, playlists and gametypes. Forge missing, fan favourite playlists no where to be seen (Infection, Grifball, BTB, Action Sack, Team Doubles, Team Snipers), etc
There is a massive difference between taking their time and putting out an unfinished product which requires multiple title updates to reach the same level as other titles content wise. Taking their time is not an excuse and the improved Forge isn’t either. They have a massive team and have had years to work on this. 343 have delivered a game that plays extremely well but has very little content to back it up. Quite frankly, it’s quite insulting to older fans to release a mainline title missing so many staples of the franchise.
