Even if i do play like an onyx and it thinks i can win or do better to rank up, why would i be punished and be so hard for me to rank up when i dont have the rank yet? its like it favors those who started playing from the very start and gave those people onyx first. As a diamond, the game knew i would be pretty much carried, rank up a bit, rise my win percentage closer to 50% in order to keep me there, not because it wanted to give a fair match or because it thinks im as good as a 1700 onyx and if i am then i want the rank.

If the system is balancing you as the 1600/1700 player then you rank up incredibly fast in Diamond, and rank down incredibly slow. Any losses will be -1 CSR and wins will be huge CSR gains. Huge. Like 2-3 wins to go up a full Diamond tier.
My guess would be based on you falling down you are not seen by the system as an Onyx 1600-1700 player. If you play any high Onyx players these are balanced by your teammate(s).
Dont know where you get this incredibly slow deranking but its not the case for me. I just said i got placed with 1 onyx 1600 and one 1700 after deranking in diamond 6 last night and now it expects me to do better than them to go rank up because it gave a very tiny bar of csr after we won. So no im not ranking up incredibly fast i derank incredibly fast.
The onyxes were on my team and i got a tiny bar from the win, so the game expected me to do better than them to go up in rank even though i dont have that rank yet, so its making very hard for me to go up and when i lose i lose double or triple the csr. By that logic should it be placing those onyxes with team mates 1900 and higher and letting them do better than them to go up as well?
So that would indicate that out of all the players on your team, you aren’t the Onyx 1600-1700 rated player.
The incredibly slow deranking thing is what I experienced through Diamond and through Onyx. Losses take away almost no CSR and I get big gains for wins.
When I was Diamond 5 I lost 5 games in a row and lost 5ish CSR, won 2 and was far into Diamond 6. When I was Onyx 1530 I lost 12, won 8 and went from 1530 to 1580.
That’s what happens when your rank is much lower than what the system believes you are.
I have a new account im playing in and i do notice it takes away less rank in the beginning stages and i am playing better than i did when the game first came out so i still have to see what happens in that one im at diamond 6 already in that one as well, thing is im trying to make it back to onyx in my original account, thats the one im having issues with deranking a lot.
