Why does the Warthog sound like a Honda Civic?

Personally, i loved the Halo Infinite Insider. I installed on my PC and my Series X and am very excited about playing Halo, and hope they fix story after Guardians. However, something really bugged me, and i really hope 343 read this and fix before launch… Why does the Warthog sound like a 4 cylinder POS.
In previous Halo games, the Warthog sounded like an 8 litre V8, hooning around the map, launching off jumps onto Elites and grunts and was immensely satisfying. Now the Warthog sounds like you are driving your Grandmothers 1974 Corolla. It kinda ruined the experience for me.
I wasn’t that fussed by the sound of the ghost either, but did not upset me as much as the Eco friendly 4 cylinder Warthog running on bio-fuel.
Gun Sounds - sounded excellent, big grunty booms
Grenades - Even bigger Booms - Woohoo
Warthog - Sound like it was powered by a 4-stroke lawn-mower engine.

343 - Please find it in your heart to fix this major flaw. Its not too late.

The turret sounds weak too. And I do not like the new crosshair for it.

Prefered Halo CE Warthog turret. Felt more powerful and heavier.

Plus for some reasons vehicles do not get dirty anymore?

Run over grunts in my 2004 Honda Civic, I must.

Yea, I always thought the warthog sounded like a monster truck. Now it sounds like the chair my grandmother uses to get down the stairs.

I think the sound team has recorded some cool things, but I can agree that the sound for the warthog is weak, same with the turret. I think they will improve it, and everything else, on release day.

I actually think the new warthog audio is good. The horn finally stands out, and the chaingun in the back sounds mean again, too.

Us civic owners are enjoying running Spartans down!

343 made a live Warthog using a Nissan Leaf before.

The “Real Reason”
Someone at 343 probably decided that it didn’t make sense in the Halo Canon for a military-grade vehicle in the year 2556 to still be rocking a 19th century Diesel Engine.
So, they probably tried to come up with something that sounded a little more like a “Hybrid” of some futuristic “clean energy” power.

Personally, I hate it too.
There’s a time and a place to be “realistic”, and the HOG should sound DEEP, THROATY, RUMBLING, MENACING, UNSTOPPABLE.
And yes, the TURRET needs more THUD. More…GUTTURAL IMPACT. Simply hearing the turret as it approaches should strike fear.

Lastly, as has been pointed out ad-nauseum: The IMPACT sound when the Hog collides with any other vehicle is currently WEAK-SAUCE.
You should feel those hits IN YOUR BONES.

Brother, I can tell you from experience that if your Honda Civic sounds like this, you need to have a look at your exhaust pipes.

Probably made the sound that way to make it sound somewhat remotely like a car and not a chainsaw with wheels.
