Why does the magnum have bloom?

Can anyone tell me why they kept bloom for the magnum in the anniversary classic gametypes? I know that when I ignore the reticule bloom, my shots go straight except when using the automatic fire. But still, they said that they were trying to make it as much alike as the old magnum, so couldn’t they keep the keep the bullets spreading when firing automatic but not the bloom, just to make it feel more like Halo CE, or is it not possible?

Firstly, theres 50 million threads about this, and secondly, bloom is MEANT to be in it, there was bloom in CE, so why wouldn’t their be bloom in Reach?

But the bloom in CE was not shown in the reticule. What I meant was, why not keep the bloom, but have the reticule stay the same, like in CE. I just want to know why this wasn’t done, or if it is possible.

It helps you time your shots, its a visual timer

It probably wasn’t done because it’s not a big deal. Who care what the HUD does as long as the weapon functions correctly

Ignorant post. There was only bloom in the magnum when you held down the trigger. When you fired normally, there was no bloom. Of course, there was a small bit of inaccuracy, so if you fired at a wall multiple times there would be bullet marks in multiple places.

The weapon has random spread regardless of ROF. Also it is possible to fire faster than the bloom, causing the same problems bloom brings with the DMR. There are countless videos

Basically the gun is random in all situations, when timed or spammed, it is a cluster -Yoink- of randomness.
