WHY DOES "THE FLOOD" MAKE HALO RATED M?

How is the flood one of the reasons why Halos rating is M?

Cortana is naked that’s why it was m. Halo 4 did not have the flood and was rated m

Also, there’s no blood in Halo 5.

blood, nudity, somewhat-gore with the flood

Those are kinda rated m in Halo.

I’ve always felt it was more a teen game even from CE.

The flood never had anything to do with it…

its not

Because the graphics are cartooney and there aren’t any inappropriate AI jokes; it has a more generic sci-fi serious feel to it.

Also, flood were spores that fed on human flesh and took over their bodies. It’s actually pretty horrific if you think about it.

GTA is a Mature game. Halo is not.

Remember, Halo first released only a couple years after of some tragic shootings in the US involving teens with guns that were partly blamed on video games; games like DOOM, which is an FPS. Halo is an FPS. No one wanted to take any chances at the time and were pretty much slapping Mature ratings on any first person shooter out there.

There’s since been a plethora of evidence based on studies that show there is no link between violence and video games and those standards have been relaxed.

Also, Bungie hid an image file within the code of Halo 2 of one of the developers mooning the camera, so there was some proper nudity in that game as well. lol

I laughed when they said the game was rated-T. But I got it anyways. I miss the AI inappropriate jokes. Besides that, I don’t noticed a big difference.

i heard an interesting theory on why 343i has not re-introduced the flood since taking over the franchise… I don’t know if its true or support the theory but according to one source, Bungie still holds the creative rights to “the flood” as we have come to know it in the Halo universe. Hence the reason(s) why 343i has not included them in H4 or H5’s story/campaign.

again, this is just a theory that I neither support nor confirm. It just makes sense when you think about why 343i would not include such a dynamic foe in their take on the universe since taking over from bungie

So explain the flood models in h4 game mode: flood?
im more curious than trying to counter your viewpoint.

If that were the case, then they wouldn’t have been able to release CEA or H2A or make the terminals or include the Flood Spore in the The Spirit of Fire in one of the Escalation comics. It’s not true. I think they’re definitely coming back. You saw the legendary ending of Halo 5 right?

If Cortana controls a Halo ring and someone were to arrive on it to try and stop her she could always release the Flood … I mean, they are there. It would be a wasted opportunity since that ending pretty much confirms we’re returning to a Halo ring.

The Flood are basically space zombies which can be dismembered, involving a relatively high amount of gore; at least compared to the other factions in the franchise.

Halo 4 didnt feature Flood was still rated M, probably due to the scene where Ivanoff Station is composed.

Lots of factors go into it.

The assassinations are more… deadly, I guess. The one were they flip the guy over and smash his neck was kinda uncalled for (but definitely cool). The mature standards have grown bigger and they finally realized that Halo never deserved to be rated the same as GTA.
