I mean, I maybe can understand the oddball disintegrating them because it seems to be a promethean skull, but the flag? What, is it promethean too?

It might just be to save from having to show the gore-y hole in the helmet. Halo isn’t very gory =/
Because it looks cool? Not everything needs a logical explination. This is halo after all.
Maybe the flag pole is made out of Forerunner materials? who knows, looks awesome to me.
It’s teleporting.
Maybe they are adding things Promethean to some game modes people love. Its a cool touch to the Promethean flags and skulls to those games to add a nice affect when playing besides assassinating them and the victim falling over.

Which is a great thing.
Well it does look cool but it kinda goes against logic, they stated the promethean weapons disintegrate living things so the flood couldn’t repossess the bodies. 343 is trying to make multiplayer and everything make sense, but while it’s not a big gripe, it’s still a gripe.
Back when the Forerunners were fighting the Flood, Flags were commonly used to fight the Flood.
I find it a non-issue. I’m just happy you can finally assassinate with it. I’m also happy that you’ll have your secondary weapon drawn for defense.

Plus, I’d much rather have it disintegrate than lay around, all dead and a hole through it’s head.
The animation for disintegration is amazing as well. I think the man getting assassinated by it would rather leave the place in ashes than get bagged… and you know what I mean.
Maybe an Armor effect for when you die? Like the birthday party thing?

That’s actually an awesome idea
Also we are fighting in a simulation. There is no reason for the holo deck to load dead bodies for long.
There’s really no reason for it. It just makes you feel like a bad–Yoink-.
Just for fun.

I don’t mind that halo isn’t full of gore. It actually helps me focus on the game, and not how many pieces my enemy has fallen into. The effect is really cool, and it helps keep gore down, and it keeps people from complaining about how there isn’t a hole in their face.

This.
Because it’s canon
Lol seriously though, I think it’s because it just looks cool.
