After 7 shots the Bandit will start making a very obvious M1 Garand clip ejection ping with every shot until it’s out.
It’s very jarring and honestly kinda dumb. Makes no mechanical sense at all and the reference is VERY on the nose.
It’s like the game is pretty much screaming the reference and shoehorning it in awkwardly.

Its the sound that lets you know (if you pay attention) that thr clip is about to run out.
This actually is something in all the UNSC weapons, if you are low in any of them, they will make a sound that lets you know the clip is about to wipe. Try it with the AR and Sidekick, they are very distinct and easier to hear
I know they all have a low magazine indicator sound. I’m saying this one is dumb.

I think the the AR low mag sounds like a empty box of crackers. But deep down it doesnt even matter. Theres no better sound.
If you can hear it, its fulfilling its purpose.

Okay well games aren’t all about purpose and practicality. And it could fulfill that practicality with literally any other sound.
Or really, it doesn’t need any sound at all. Halo never used to have low mag sounds and it worked just fine. It’s a part of being a skilled player to mentally keep track of your shots while firing.
I’m honestly tired of games doing all this excessive hand holding over the smallest of things. It’s like how every info element has to be highlighted in bright neon colors. Feels like MOBAs started that trend. Or how Halo 5 made sure your Spartan was so bright red or blue that all your armor detail was drowned out. Tired of games being treated like sports and losing their aesthetics.
Kind of a tangent rant but hey.
i like it L + ratio + incorrect
Thats just your mindset. In the development mindset’ you can’t assume Bungie really thought “lets not make any timers so we can divide to skilled and noob players”. It just wasn’t an idea that was thought of in that time. This is definitely beneficial. Bungie even currently has accents Halo Infinite has in their Destiny game. So it just shows whatever Halo was, had nothing to do with “skill” but just wasn’t evolved as it was today.
