Why does the Arbiter looks diffrent in Halo 5?

Title says it all

Cause he grew up.

He changed his armor. It’s not beyond the scope of reason. He changed his energy sword, too.

Hahahahahahahahehahahehaiiahah That’s great.

Lore reasons, leader of The Swords Of Sanghelios and galactic pease maker and killer of prophets. He upgraded the sword he kill the prophet of truth with, new sword with old parts. I probably sound really friggin nerdy

The Arbiter’s armor we see in H3 was a variant used during the Sangheli’s time as part of the Covenant Empire. After the Great Schism (when the Elites left the Covenant Empire) he adopted an pre-Covenant version of the armor, re-establishing the role of Arbiter in Sangheli culture, one of an honored leader, not that of a disgraced warrior.

I believe OP is either referring to Thel’s Kaidon Armor or his lighter skin tone, the latter being merely artistic license that technically isn’t canon.

Do you realize where you are? Lol

He stopped shopping at Target.

The Arbiter’s armor is different as he switched from his Covenant-era Arbiter armor to a new set that pays homage to the Arbiters of eons past. His change to the newer type of Sangheili is just 343 being lazy. The Prophet’s Bane is a custom sword built using components from the Energy Sword used by Thel to kill the Prophet of Truth and another sword recovered from the vaults of the 'Vadam lineage.

Probably because the years have passed and the Arbiter has become a new rank. He is probably a general by the look of his helmet.

I am laughing at this a lot more than I should be haha

IF I recall his armor in H5 is his Kadon armor.

He means physically, not the armor. He’s of the newer Elite design instead of the more classic look, like how he appears in H2A…

Grim addressed this and summed it up to asset limitations. They couldn’t really justify building one unique looking asset for him, I guess. Plus he’d look odd standing next to all the other newer looking Elites.

Does anyone really buy this? I mean they can’t come up with a unique character model for a major character in the series?

Because he is a kiadon now he is wearing kiadon armor and robes

Right? That’s like attaching a Marine head to Keyes body because of “asset limitations”. He’s a freaking main character just like any other person on Osiris or the Infinity.

That’s just what they said. I mean, look at the sheer volume of assets in this game (just in REQ packs, let alone the entire campaign). It’s a lot faster, easier, and cheaper to slap some armor on an Elite model that already matches every other Elite in the game. That or they spent all their arbiter money on pizza. Who knows?

Or maybe they shouldn’t have changed the Elites so much in Halo 4 to begin with. Then we wouldn’t have this problem. There. I said it. lol

omg these answers… That baby arby hahahahah!
