Why does the aim still feel so wonky

I wasn’t doing to bad before the weekend, then i take a break and don’t play over the weekend and now my after 2 days back at the grind I can’t get used to it now. i’ve got plenty of hours in the game and I’ve never quite gotten the hang of the aiming. even with the deadzones lowered it feels really sluggish and i feel like headshots aren’t always registering and I fell like that’s a thing that’s gotten worse since the game released. I know there will probably be the people who say “git gud skrub” but after so many hours in the game and I just can’t find a setting that works for me.

Halo 5’s aiming system is awful. If I could describe it, it feels like small touches on the stick make the reticle too sluggish until you flick the stick at an arbitrary angle, which causes the reticle to fly all over the place. Previous Halos offered a significantly more uniform experience.

Like literally last night I was destroying and now I can’t hit Pistol shots. It sucks.

It seems fine to me, it has since the launch of Halo 5. And my aim still feels normal while playing other games.

While the additional options they gave us helped to smooth out the aiming
the “two turn” style aiming mechanic will always feel wonky and off (at least to me)
precision aim mode feels too slow and unresponsive and the turn aim mode feels too fast and all over the place
so (for me at least) when I’m trying to track an opponent the aiming feels too sluggish and unresponsive but then when I move the stick further to try to aim at them after they thrust or something my aim hits “turn mode” and throws me all over the place
