So far it’s been one out of 4 games for me, lol. Love that map.
Because for the first 2 weeks it was the ONLY -Yoink!- map people played.
I have played like 50 games of Ragnarock. Sadly, now that its off the playlist everyone just votes Exile.
I have played 2 games a piece on the other 2 BTB maps… I want them to bring back the veto system so we can inject a little variety into the map rotation. With join in progress, people just quit if they dont get the map they want to play anyhow…

The map is just plain fun thats why its played so much.

No idea why it’ showing up in rotation so infrequently. But even though it’s a good map, I’m getting sick of it.
It was almost always voted for when the option was given. And when JIP kicked in, I would always say that the map was automatically Ragnarok. And guess what, I was never wrong.

I meant its no longer appearing as a voting option for EVERY match up - Thus resulting in it getting voted in EVERY -Yoink!- time…
So more people like you don’t vote to play it constantly… it’s nothing but camo campers.

I never complained about any game mechanics or maps before – 343 shouldn’t do things secretly without telling us. Personally, it’s a fun map for a lot of people and just because some folks don’t like it that much doesn’t mean the majority have to stop playing.
In terms of camo sniping - I seldom use camo and never on that map. I like the bright colors, relatively basic geometry, and the vehicle mayhem.

I think that map would be SOOOOOOO much better if everyone spawned with the AR (mayyyyyybe a BR, BUT NO -Yoink!- DMR, PLASMA GRENADES OR PLASMA PISTOL) and the distance weapons were placed strategically around the map. It would cause greater map control battles, balance the risk / reward of the constant base camping DMR spam we see now days and allow for vehicles to actually roam the map and not instadie like they do now.

Well, vehicles are free to roam (except Banshee lol) as long as there is not a good pilot in the Mantis, haha. And I don’t see a lot of DMR camping – quite a few battles in the center.
the mantis and camo has ruined the movement and flow and feel of valhalla
everyone just sits back and camps. no one goes any further than top mid
and everyone gets power weapons so frequently so instead of fighting for one snipe or laser or missile pod to deal with something that actually broke a setup without being easily destroyed, now there are like 20 snipes/lasers/power weapons on the map
on top of that, spawning with stickies and plasma pistols ruins vehicle control too so every game on ragnarok just results in 8 people sitting back with camo and snipe
put a damn flag to cap in btb and maybe people would try and move a little!

Actually ragnarock is UNPLAYABLE in CTF.
You think camping is bad in BTB? Play a round of CTF. The Mantis will base camp, surrounded by an army of snipers/DMR users all packing plasma pistols and stickys.
Its pretty much impossible to get in there and take the flag. Both teams want to lock down their flag as much as possible, so only half a dozen brave (stupid?) souls are left to try and cross the map into a hail of gunfire and die…
