Why does nobody have any situational awareness?

Does nobody pay attention to what is going on in matchmaking anymore? To clarify, this is Onyx level gameplay. There is no way I should be getting a kill like this, it is painfully obvious what is going on

Also, does anyone else think it is a bit strange that you can get a fully charged ground pound to kill someone from six feet above said person’s head?

mayb their mum was telling them to get off halo? :stuck_out_tongue:

In the heat of the battle, you cant always watch out for everything, not really anything special about that

bet that guy had to do something or plugging in his charge and play lol.

It wasn’t in the heat of battle though; the guy backed off and crouched in the corner with near full shields; The only reason to do that is to wait for the guy whose opposite him in top mid to chase him, surely.

It wasn’t that bad the guy panicked and didn’t know where all the shots were coming from, probably high like a -Yoink- lol

Not sure if this post is serious but, It’s not as if everyone plays with constant full awareness and Peripheral vision to intercept anyone attacking them at all times. In the video there are at least 3 enemies (Being your side) around him, with he’s team behind, in what scenario did you see him escaping this? Was just bad timing.

Or i could be completely wrong and he’s just another person who gets carried to onyx each season, who knows.

Its not that he didn’t escape it, I was expecting to kill him or I wouldn’t have pushed, it was that he didn’t respond at all; He could have thrusted in pretty much any direction, or at least tried to climb out through sneaky. He didn’t move at all.

Further, I’m what, six feet above his head? That shouldn’t kill him imo.

I think everyone could be found to have an example in their game play history of similar lack of “situational awareness”.

I have spawned at times only to have shots being fired at me from 3 different directions by opposition. So, how can I have “situational awareness” when I just spawn and haven’t even had a second to orient myself before 3 opposition are on me?

Happens to everyone…I’m sure the player in your vid learned a lesson there and won’t try repeating it!

Oh yeah, definitely; I’m saving up my own fails to upload, I’ve got one where you’d think I was completely deaf, given how I miss a guy crouch walking above me lol. I think I then end up spinning around when he starts shooting, wondering where the heck he is
To be fair to your example, thats off spawn though; This guy had moved there.

Weird title for a thread. So “nobody” has any situational awareness? Lol.

Its an exaggeration, don’t hang me for it lol. I meant that I’d seen a lot of examples of people missing things they shouldn’t lol.

At people in arena pay more attention than people in warzone though haha

Not hanging you for it Bud! Like I said, happens to everyone.

Good lesson to learn from that you make sure you’re not just focusing on one thing to the exclusion of all others. Notice surroundings, where your teammates are on the map, whether their ID is showing that they are under fire, location of opposition, etc.

Did not intend to take you to task on post…

Yeah, its all about multitasking lol.
I know man, I didn’t take it like that haha

Good to know.

Sometimes on-line posting is taken the wrong way since the intent of the poster is not represented well in text only. Keep up the good fight!

The ground pound came very quickly, he may have known you were there, but couldn’t react (some people have slow reactions) When I notice the sound of a ground pound charging up, people wait too long to release the ground pound, by then I have gotten out of the way.

Wow. That’s sad. But that scrub is nothing compared to the guys I encountered last night:

And yes, we ended up winning!

And no, I cannot make a lazy link. Sorry, lazy people.

Do you ever have those moments where you try to melee somebody, but you both end up spinning around were each other is frantically spamming the melee button until one of you dies :stuck_out_tongue:
