I’ve done over 100 matches this season and only a few randoms actually used a mic to communicate. Seriously, don’t go into ranked without a mic since you are a burden without one. Despite the fact I’m able to hold my own against low Diamonds, I can’t get past Gold without a team or luck because no one uses a mic. There really needs to be a filter that only finds people with mics.
Becuase people either dont want to talk or want to hear babies crying or bad music over the mic. I use a mic but always hope that people do have one and arent annoying.
Blame parties and kinect for the lack of people using mics in game chat.

I get blame the kinect but why parties unless you mean there are in one but no else is in it.
Just because people have mics, doesn’t mean they’ll use it effectively. That seems to be the biggest thing people overlook.

Lots of people know. Unfortunately it’s usually the wrong people who know.

My mic is wireless so i dont need to plug it in.

So true. most of the time I find myself having to mute others because 1. Background noise 2.mic in throat 3. Adolescent 4. They are lonely. Useful communication is a skill in itself. Using a mic doesn’t always = better chance of winning. Also, maybe your the 4th. A party of 3 usually won’t invite a random, and switching between game chat every match gets annoying.

They should add preferences like in reach, and auto swap everyone to game chat in matches diamond and above.

It was further than that. Right before Halo 4 came out is when no one plugged in mics. Tryin to go into Reach MLG playlists was hell cause no one talked.
