Is this a new paywall/purchase I have to make for basic functions/features?

I’m trying to figure that out honestly… At least for the Score Board. is the words in the brackets suppose to be the Service Tag or something?

Besides the score board I have failed to see it in game. So I’m still trying to figure out it’s purpose in infinite. I’m sure 343 is aware and maybe this Tuesday’s update will fix it

For some reason 343 has decided that we want our screens cluttered up with everyone’s full gamertag.
There is an option in the Settings to set it to show service tags but it only works for custom games.
Hopefully, 343 will change it to allow us to set it for all multiplayer at some point, but I doubt it will happen anytime soon
It resets for me every time I log in to the game and I have to re-enter it to get it working. Probably on their list of things to do.
