My aim will randomly go from really sensitive to really slow like I am dragging my cross hair through the mud. It seems to change each match I enter and sometimes it changes even mid match. I am using an elite controller and I have the same issue when using my regular Xbox controller. Does anyone else experience this?
Have you taken a look at the new sensitivity settings? The inner and outer deadzone adjustments help with drift and slow turn, respectively. Look acceleration changes how long it takes to achieve full turn/look speed. You might want to set the inner and outter deadzone settings to 0% for now and see how that feels. Their default is 12%, which so playing around with this might help you out. The acceleration is set to 3 by default, so that shouldn’t have changed. How are your batteries? If they’re getting low, things might feel off too.
Do you drink and game? Lol
Haha no drinking and gaming and I have been playing with all the settings and deadzones. It didn’t help unfortunately. It doesn’t really have to do with aim acceleration it almost feels like randomly there is input lag. I play on a BenQ 1ms monitor so I don’t think input lag is the problem. It is just very weird because there is no rhyme or reason when it happens. It feels great one second and then randomly feels very sluggish.
thank god i am not the only one experiencing the same issue… every game feels different, I have to constantly toy with settings, I have tried it on 2 tvs, same problem, game mode enabled, same problem. Aiming is not fluid, its like all over the place, I feel like I suck but then I will randomly get a smooth fluid flow and reck like I do in all FPS prior to halo 5, I swear its gotten worse since the patch. My net stats were like 87 DL 6 UL ping 25-40 so I didn’t think that was issue, I have tried a bunch and its to tjhe point I am moving on from game.

What ISP do you have curious ? comcast?
You must be referencing the issue where turning to the left is always fine, while looking to the right sometimes causes a delay and thus throws off your aim. I’ve had this happen to me a plethora of times, and I thought this issue was being patched with this update, but I suppose I was wrong.
Same here. I’ve adjusted my settings accordingly, and i’ve gotten them to where i like, yet SOME games it’ll feel sluggish. Like a bad connecton or something.

Sorry for late response, yes I have Comcast xfinity. I have the upgraded blast package as well. Could having Comcast as my isp cause these problems?
This problem is pretty common actually.
Wireless controllers do have some input lag, by virtue of wireless being less dependable than wired. Have you tried playing with the wire attached? I’ve been told this eliminates/reduces input lag. I’ve actually tried it, but as I didn’t notice any irregular input lag(as in not consistently laggy across the board) the reduction was so minute I filed it under “stuff that competitive players do to get an edge but ultra-casuals like me don’t need” so I play wireless again. You can try it, may eliminate your issues.

probably depends what dedicated server you connect to.
if it’s in your region, you will get no noticeable input lag.
if it’s not in your region, could take 0.3-0.5s to register an input, which makes aiming very difficult.
It’s more than likely something to do with the controller settings. Wonky deadzones will feel like input lag and will throw you off.
U from Europe by any chance?
Different enemies with different moving capabilities?
Sounds like dead zones. Other than that, laser ARs, BRs, loadouts. i believe to have increased auto aim… I think?
I’ve never played a game with this much janky aiming issues. It’s a constant struggle.
There must be be some grand underlying aiming bug. They royally screwed something up deep within the code at launch that they didn’t foresee.
No other Halo game has this issue.

thats what i am thinking, would explain why every game feels different. I am going to buy a gaming monitor to narrow down the possible issue

Im having same problem can’t figure out how to fix it. 343 please help. Spent so much money trying to get the sluggish away.
